Wow, mukhang Hiace na ang bagong NV350 Urvan. Same engine pla as the previous gen 4x2 Navara, yun nga lang 129ps instead na 144ps. Sana lang with ABS na sya and maging available na din ang ibang colors maliban sa white at silver.

Wait, is it the old engine? I thought it was a detuned current Navarra engine?
Excerpt from TGPh article
"Officially called the NV350 Urvan, this fifth-generation people-mover has a 2.5-liter engine. Nissan Philippines says this is similar to the mill in the NP300 Navara, so we’re looking at a turbodiesel with at least 161hp and 403Nm. "
Though the numbers are of course way off from what we know now, I do believe it is simply a detuned engine of the current NP300 engine, but can someone clarify? And it comes from Japan as well so I am doubtful it will use the old Euro 2 engine of the previous gen Navarra right?
Still no display at Nissan NE or Q Ave. Oh well, next weekend, I am really curious to see how it is inside the 15 seater. As long as it is not too bare bones like the Hiace Commuter, I think it would be at least a step up choice to consider. And curious how you can play around with the seats for flexibility for people and/or cargo.
And just as food for thought, are they still developing a 3.0/3.2 diesel engine for current/future models? I am curious about this because I am thinking if that is the reason they have not released a "Grandia type" version of the NV350 yet. With the JPEPA, shouldn't it kick in already when your engine displacement is greater than 3.0?

Actually the new navara 2015 still uses the same engine YD25DDTi but the updated version producing 190 ps from the old 171 ps. NV350 uses the YD25DDTi engine, and yes same with the all new ( in our country ) 2.5 liter navara but the NV350 engine was detuned to 129 ps from 190 ps. I'm guessing urvan uses different turbo intercooler thats why it has lower horsepower.

Both the old and current Navaras have the same YD25 engine. Just different states of tune.
I just downloaded the spec sheet and was surprised to find that there is actually 2 wheelbases, long for the 15 and 18 seater * 2555mm with its total length at 4695mm. The other is the cargo/ambulance type with a wheelbase of 2940mm with its total length at 5060mm.
I am now more curious if a Grandia type would be using the cargo wheelbase to give more "luxurious" legroom inside with captain seats then.. hmm...
Another curiosity I found in the spec sheet is that the audio system is labeled as a dealer option across all three models.
Our family will be looking in the market by next year for a family vehicle, hopefully the luxury long wheelbase is already released by that time. I am not that excited with the high roofline since the price are depressing (re: Grand Starex Limousine). If they can release a sub 2M high roofline, it may eat up a large chunk of the Super Grandia sales.
Better if the same gravity seats in the X-trail.![]()
Matagal na bro skyflakes remember dati my nilabas na L300 exceed(same body type as the subic sourced delica 4wd) and sumunod ung Space gear kaso nga lang Petrol fed kaya di naging mabenta kaya Mitsubishi stooped selling those and focused on the L300 fb and versa vans. Sa Japan matagal na ung current model ng Mitsubishi Delica around 2007 pa. I hope they will bring in the new delica and equipped it with a diesel engine, why not the 4d56 direct inject vgt that powers the montero.

Mayron na kya new release na nv350 ? Gusto ko sna malaman FC ? Just compare sa FC ng commuter?
I got my premium A/t lastweek...
For those has/had owned the Urvan Premium, is this still classified under Class-1 in our Toll highways?
Based on my research, it is The Urvan Premium is exactly 7.5feet (228.6cm) in height and it just so happens to be the the border between Class-1 and Class-2 vehicle.
Meanwhile the Toyota GL Grand Tourer is just a hair under 7.5ft (228cm) which, unarguably makes it Class-1 vehicle for toll roads.
Thanks!
2022 Nissan Urvan is getting Mitsubishi 2.4L diesel | Autoindustriya
In Japan, the automaker updated the Urvan with a new transmission and a diesel engine.According to the Japanese spec sheet, the 2022 Urvan now uses a 2.4-liter 4N16 turbodiesel engine that produces 132 PS and 370 Nm torque. It also uses a new 7-speed automatic gearbox, ditching the old 5-speed automatic from the previous model. The automaker claims the engine paired with the new transmission allows the van to average 13.9 km/L.
Does the engine code sound familiar? That’s because it appears to be a Mitsubishi unit. For reference, the 4N1 engines have been used in several Mitsubishi models including the current-generation Montero Sport and Strada. But the biggest question is this: Will Nissan Philippines offer the Urvan with the new Mitsubishi diesel engine and 7-speed automatic in the future? The automaker does source the van (both standard and high-roof Premium variants) from Japan, making it seem very possible. Nissan has yet to launch the facelift version in the Philippines as well.
Ska top speed mas malakas kya ito sa hi ace? Nbsa ko sa forum 170kph daw top speed ng commuter..plan ko kasi maglbas ng commuter.. o try ko new nv 350
If you are speaking with its speed and power ability, this new urvan will give you 129 of horsepower and 350+ n/m torque, compare now that specs with the current hi-ace commuter then imagine how fast this new urvan will give you on the highway.

Top speed shouldn't be a concern if one is purchasing a van which has a high center of gravity plus the Nissan NV350 does not have headrests on all seats.
Yes, this entry level nissan urvan doesn't have any headrest for the passengers from 2nd row up to the last, well because it's a commuter type. I'm pretty sure that nissan will release a model with better interior and seat configuration for this urvan, i just don't know when will they release. But speaking with the top speed, i can say this new urvan can kill the hi-ace commuter now over the top speed. And i can't wait to see it happen.
