Hi Welscua. My mom also owns GL Elite since Dec. 2009 and its AC is not that sufficient for the 2nd and 3rd row. Probably due to really hot weather nowadays. May I know what specific maintenance do you do for your AC or probably repair that you have done? Will it also help if I change my tint to 3M dark maybe? Our tint is Titanium from Casa. BTW we're also from San Mateo. Thanks!

I'd suggest you change your tint to something like 3M; this does have bearing with the heat nowadays. The Vios of my in-laws had a hard time during the summer heat with the POS tint from the CASA; i changed to 3M Super dark on the side and 3M medium on the front and back never had problems anymore with regard to keeping the car cool.

What color is the car of your mom? If it has a dark color, it will also absorb more heat and give the A/C a harder time in cooling the car as against a light color.

Di pa nagundergo ng repair a/c ko since I bought it last June 2008.

Sa Nissan gallery (Quezon Ave.) ako regular PMS kaya very clear na included yung a/c sa PMS as included on the check list. Pag sa ibang casa ka nagpa PMS ay make sure that the following should be checked.

1. Pressure/Leak checking of a/c refrigerant.
2. Air cleaning/blowing of a/c filter. They normally remove the glove compartment para maka-access sa air filter. I just finish 15k PMS and nag-improve yung air blower ko even sa fan setting na 1. Pag barado kasi yung filter ay hirap sya sa fan set na 1 kaya normal na yung naka-2 ka palagi.
3. Arrange the center vent para nakatutok lang sya sa gitna, if I need additional cooling ay yung corner circular vent lang ang nilalaro ko.

Lastly, pag moving si GL ko ay yung 3rd row ko ang coolest area kasi lahat ng center vents ay naka tutok sa likod.

BAKA YUNG GL NYO ANG NAKIKITA NAMIN SA SAN MATEO MINSAN NASA MERCURY DRUG AND PUREGOLD NAKA-PARK.

hingi lang sana ako ng feedback/review sa mga owners dito. parang ok ang GL kaso mo while reading the loop forum may mga nagsasabi na hindi daw ganun kasolid ang quality ng GL compared sa iba. marami daw rattles and squeaks sa loob. tapos ang daming beses kelangan ibalik sa casa para i-address mga problema.

kinoconsider ko din kasi tong GL. plan ko bumili ng brand new car later this year. i hope to get some useful feedback from you guys. salamat po.

Hi, the_champ. It's nice to be aware of the potential noises and squeaks in a new car so you can immediately remedy them either DIY or through the casa. In all the brand new cars I've purchased (2-Toyotas, 2-Hondas, Nissan, and Kia), no single car brand or make is free from defects, minor sounds and squeaks. If you're O.C. about these sounds, it's good to have the members' feedback from sites like LOOP so you can act on them.

Good luck in your new car choice! I suggest you do test drives on your shortlisted cars before you make the final decision. HTH

sir, MPV po ang classification. hindi ko lang maalala na yung price for the insurance and TPL pero depende na din kasi yun sa insurance company na kukuhanan mo. estimate kung me AOG is nasa 25k more or less.

renewed my GL last May, classification was AUV, paid around 2000 pesos for renewal and 980 pesos for TPL, 450 pesos for emission test, casa insurance for my 3 year old GL was around 16K+ with AOG..
