totoo yun sir.,madaling araw kasi yun dun sa sctex.,wala naman kami talaga balak mag matulin nun.,kaso my honda civic sir kami nakakarera.,naka muffler at nag off pa nga sya ng aircon kc nagbaba sya ng bintana.,mabilis din talaga sya kc 'honda eh kotse pa kaya aero at gas engine pa.,parehas kami naka 180km/hr nun.,tapos nung binilisan pa namin,ayun na reach namin ang 220/hr.,mejo malayo din ang agwat.,at take note.,puno kami sa loob at naka aircon pa kami.,sa likod my karga din,pero di ganong kabigatan.,mga maleta lng,papunta kc kami ng airport nun eh.,

kailanga mo ng mahabang hiway to achieve it... damn 220km/h in a pick up.

Based on my experience I think achievable (Personally I dont have the heart to do it) I tried one time to redline on each gear naka rating ako ng 180km/h 4500 rpm sa 5th gear and its still climbing na ubosan lang ng safe clear road ahead.

Did it with a friend (bombi) with his 4x4 all stock Navara and its still stable on that speed kahit may slight bend and hiway na pinag testingan namin.

question lang po, para san po yung overdrive? ang pagkakaintindi ko po kasi, pag naka on, hahataw sya pag na reach mo yung certain speed, pag naka off, pang overtake yun(downshift) tyaka parang naka cruise control ka... tama po ba? sorry noob talaga ko sa matic.. ^^

kung tama ako na pang overtake ang "overdrive off" bakit wala akong maramdaman na change pag off ko ng overdrive? parang wala lang... unlike sa m/t ramdam na ramdam mo pag nag downshift ka... ^^ (sorry kung mali pag compare ko sa m/t and a/t)

update ko kayo ano mangyayari sa casa this week talaga dadalhin ko na.. ^^

sir few questions, was the terrain/road/trail difficult? musta naman ung navara in your opinion during that travel? would want to know since comparable (or even worse ata, hehe) yung roads diyan sa amin sa province (road from nueva ecija to casiguran, aurora). thanks in advance!

I got my Navara yesterday from CRVI. Black Galaxy 4x4 A/T. Big thanks to Ms. May Paulete (Sr. SA) for expediting my order!

I'm a happy customer! I hope it continues that way. I also hope my new Navara would serve me and my family well for the next 5 years. Ang ganda ng ride compared to my '06 4x2 Hilux. Sobrrrrrang laki ng difference! Pwede na mag text while the car is motion. It was practically impossible to do that in my Hilux before. Even my neighbors liked it! Machong macho daw ang dating! My kids?? Oh man, you should've seen their faces! Para bang nagtatanong na "asan na ang mga kalaban Dad?"

There's a vacant lot adjacent to my house. I couldn't help but try the 4x4Lo last night. Di ko pa masyado na appreciate yung 4x4 function because it felt no different when I switched it back to 4x2. Maybe I should bring it to somewhere more maputik and impossible for ordinary 4x2s to survive.

Ganito pala feeling pag naka 4x4 ka.. para kang bata. Me adrenaline rush. Parang gusto ko na cancelin tuloy sa Toyota yung order kong Fortuner...

You may also schedule a chat with CRVI's drivers Bong and Mang Dodong. Dami nila alam and experiences sa Navara. Yang si Dodong ang nagdala sa kin sa putikan (4x4Hi) sa the fort tapos inihataw nya and snaked through traffic sa SShway to show me the agility and speed of the Navara. Si Bong naman showed and proved to me na di mausok ang navara. Saka di naman mabaho and a/c... The test drive unit that we used had almost 20k kms already of brutal testing already. Wala daw ingat ingat yan. Dumaan na daw sa mga kamay nina C! and TopGear...

sir obviously, navara pipiliin namin... hehe...

Points for the navara:
- more power and torque than the strada
- drives like a sedan even on high speed...
- 6-speed manual, 5-speed automatic
- can carry around 1ton of load
- mas pogi...
- FAST!

So far, ang lamang ng strada, more leg room for the passengers, higher ground clearance, a little comfortable than the navara. Between its competitors(e.g, hilux, dmax etc.) the navara is second to strada in terms of ride comfort IMHO... View other pages, you'll see a picture from DonCuadro and a video i uploaded only recently about how the navara would do in floods above the knee...

still. the best thing to do is to test drive both...

I suggest you back read nalang siguro about 40 pages, your question and other queries will be answered for sure. with all the pictures( including mine during BAHA days).
Obviously you're in the NAVARA thread so definitely all of us will choose navara.
Test drive both vehicles to see for yourself which is better.
As for the speed, huwag ka magugulat sa speed ng navara....

yes sir! you've just mentioned it... the navara is: "more power" compared to strada....

with my 4x2 FC in highway is about 12-13km/li and i've got inconsistent consumption in purely short distance city driving, ranging from 6-8km/li... pamin-minsan ko lang hinaharurot sir at magaan ang paa ko sa rev at mahal na gas...

kasi nagka fog yung windows ko, nakalagay sa manual, para makapag defog ka ng windows, alisin mo sa max a/c tapos off mo yung recirculation button... so ganun ginawa ko... kaso walang lumalabas galing sa vent na air from outside... diba dapat may hangin na lumalabas dun tyaka sa butas dun sa may dashboard? sainyo po ba ganun din? kasi nga diba may tinakluban ng casa yung air bed ko?

kasi nagka fog yung windows ko, nakalagay sa manual, para makapag defog ka ng windows, alisin mo sa max a/c tapos off mo yung recirculation button... so ganun ginawa ko... kaso walang lumalabas galing sa vent na air from outside... diba dapat may hangin na lumalabas dun tyaka sa butas dun sa may dashboard? sainyo po ba ganun din? kasi nga diba may tinakluban ng casa yung air bed ko?

sir loki, regarding vent from outside, better ask the casa kung yung nga yung tinakluban....

BTW, saan ba yung fogging sir sa outside o sa inside surface?...

if it is inside, then hotter yung temperature yung loob ng car mo, the solution is to set your a/c colder...

but if it is in the outside, one solution to your fogging (condensation) in the outside surface is to lower your a/c temp... as far as i know, condensation (fogging) on outside occurs when there is considerable difference between the outside environment and inside environment (super cold inside and hot outside). plus it is aggravated by the high relative humidity (moisture in the air) in the outside environment.... just take into consideration may baso ka lagyan mo ng yelo sa loob, you can see condensation right away on the outside surface of the glass... but once the ice melted and becomes water, and the cold temp of the water gets higher, you can see the condensation on the outside surface starts to disappear.... for your rear window, use your defogger, yung middle button between the a/c and recirculation buttons... siguro sir laging maximum ang a/c mo no hehehe....

last solution, pag talagang gusto mo malamig sa loob, pag ganyan na nag-fog na taas baba mo window mo, yun mapupunasan yung window mo... at itutok mo yung a/c mo lahat sa gitna... hehehe....

*loki_chaos - Turning off recirculation during rainy days can fog your windsheild/ windows more-mas moist kasi sa labas. Applicable lang yung nasa manual kung dry ang outside air. Remember that fogging is due to the collected moisture from ambient air Try to activate the rear defoggers several times, it can circulate heat and evaporate moisture from your windsheild.

*florantejose - Ive driven both for long drives. I agree with Strada's ride comfort at the back but upfront ay same lang.. Driver comfort for me mas ok ang Navara..Try to test drive, feel the handling, and youl know what i mean, masasabi mong mas sulit ang Nav. FC-same lang. Maintenance - mas madami issues sa Strada like noisy suspension, uneven height, steering problems - all can be cured by casa. Both vehicles are good but since nasa Navara thread it means that owners here have chosen the Navara because its the better choice among the trucks. I think meron dito former Strada owner nalimutan kona, he can tell you also the difference based from 1st hand experience..[/SIZE]

Hey Fellow Frontier/ Navarra drivers, I need help, looking for a shop in Banaue or other places to source a pair of New Ball-Joints for our trusty old 2001 3.2 4x4 Frontier. We just replaced all 4 tires but the 2 front tires have uneven wear, and the steering is pulling a bit to the left. Our trust mechanic diagnosed that the ball-joints on the right wheel is worn, he suggest to replace both altogether since our truck is already 9 yrs old. Thanks again guys for your help.
