December 9th, 2015 12:38 PM #2571The GT2056V turbo on the D40 is a relatively big turbo. Even if it is a VGT, boost at low rpm seems to be low. I was playing around with the idea of changing my turbo to a more efficient model (GTB2056VK) or even a smaller one (GTB1756VK) for more low end grunt when my turbo got busted. Luckily the casa replaced my turbo so I didn't need to get a new one. GTB2056VK is practically the same dimensions as GTB2056VK and GT2056V (OEM) but with a smaller by 2mm exducer. Both are next gen turbos with more efficient blade designs so they should produce more boost earlier with less exhaust manifold pressure. You will need chip to fuel up the added boost though.
You could get a rail chip even without a new turbo... My 7 year old chipped Nav can still outrun other newer pickups when I have to.
Has anyone cleaned up their CAT? Those could be clogged by now, considering years of Euro 2 fuel.

December 18th, 2015 12:36 PM #2575Tension gauge hiwalay, dalawa inorder ko yung isa up to 100lbs na tension, yung isa hanggang 200lbs. You will only need the krikit 1 since 70lbs tension sa power steering and 100lbs sa alternator. No more squeal. Havent installed the quiet belt yet, saka na siguro pag pasira na yung existing belt ko.
I will check how much yung belt. Pero yung krikit gauge asa 15-20 usd each. Kung kelangan nyo i check tension ng belt nyo, drop by lang kayo dito sa valenzuela puregold.

question ko lang sa mga me scan/ultra gauge, ano ang boost psi ninyo?
ginawa ko is hold rpm for about 1-3 minutes sa kalsada, ang findings ko (Navara 4x2 2010 AT)
1500rpm - 3-4psi
2000rpm - 6psi
2500rpm - 14-15psi
double check ko later yang values, napansin ko kasi mga 1 year ago na siguro, before nung bago pa yung navara, pag pumalo sya sa 1500rpm, malakas na yung hatak nya, ngayon yung hatak ng 1500rpm dati, asa 2000rpm+ ko na sya nararamdaman. di ko alam kung me boost/vacuum leak ba ako and wala ren akong testerwala namang error code sa ecu. mahigpit naman lahat ng clamp sa mga hose and properly torqued naman yung mga nuts nung tinangal ko yung egr tube. para sa iba mabilis pa rin naman daw yung nav, pero para sa aken nag decrease talaga sya ng performance. btw, kaka run ko lang ng 2 bottle ng liqui moly diesel purge directly sa injector, mga 30 minutes ko ata ginawa bago naubos yung dalawang lata, sinunod ko naman yung instruction na hold yung rev ng certain rpm (iba ibang rpm), ok din naman yung boost solenoid, humihigop naman sya, yung turbo vanes ok naman kasi pag hinigop mo yung vacuum hose, umaangat naman sya ng walang kahirap hirap.
baka me pang test kayo dyan ng boost/vacuum leak? :D puntahan ko kayo hehehehe :P sayang yung missing 3-4 psi (18-20 psi daw dapat ang nav sa boost)

December 23rd, 2015 12:48 AM #2578Update, binalik ko yung stock intake hose plus Yung vacuum na andon (naka expose lang sya nung aftermarket intake pipe Yung gamet ko with fuel filter ng pang motor as air filter) and mejo nag ok sya ulet. Max boost Asa 20-21psi Pero saglit lang (pag todo tapak sa pedal) then drops to 10psi. Mararamdaman mo na nag shift ng gear nung nag drop sa 10 psi. Normal behavior naman to diba?

20 psi boost for 4x2 sounds about right, 4x4 has a bit higher boost, di ko lang matandaan exact figure. Oem turbo is gt2056v, a big turbo which is good for high boost at top end but unfortunately not so good for low rpm even if it is already a VGT. Pag smaller turbo more responsive sa low end but loses steam sa top end. Like one of the better selling brands na mabagal na ang acceleration after 140kph.
Kelangan ko yung kirikit na yan, may squeal na naman, probably the other idler pulley.
