Speed, My stock HU of exalta is having some problem. It returns and F2 error appeared in the screen. and hindi na siya nagbubukas. puro f2 na palagi ano coz nun? And also kung sira na siya, do you have a suggestion for a nice HU that will fit to the chassy.

Pa help naman po, I am one of the unfortunate kid yesterday na nabaha sa roxas blvd. Pero i got home naman safe and sound with my '01 Exalta STA. Just that napansin ko sa kanya, na parang nagtunog diesel ang kotse ko pag naka idle sya pero pag tumatakbo na smooth and quiet na sya uli. I thought baka kako my alternator and fan belt which i recently replaced mga 3 weeks ago, I noticed kasi po na after replacing the alternator and fan belt parang umingay sya pagkaka start pa lang pero pag uminit na ang makina quiet na sya. Pero yesterday was different, kahit matagal na ako tumatakbo and nag idle sya may sound na parang lata na mahirap iexplain pero everytime i turn off the engine and start it naman, ok naman sya. Then, kaninang umaga nun aalis na ako going to my office, ayaw nya magstart., i tried the radie, the windows functioning naman so i though hindi sya sa batt, then our houseboy said icharge namen ang batt, after we charged it, nag start na sya.. Bakit kaya ganun mga boss? Is it may alternator kaya uli and ano po kaya natunog sa engine ko??

Pahelp naman mga sir., Pasensya na po at babae po kasi ako and wala po akong alam sa kotse kundi sumakay at magdrive lang po.

does "ayaw magstart" mean umi-ikot nang malakas ang crank ngunit hindi tumuloy-tuloy? does the crank turn weakly? or does it mean, wala ni-galaw ng crank? if the latter two, the battery is probably too weak to start but still able to power the radio, windows and lights.
one possibility is, your alternator belt is slipping or defective, and therefore the battery doesn't charge. but this will usually show as a red alt light on the dash.
another possibility is, your battery is dying and does not hold charge anymore, which is why you probably thought it was the alternator needing repair. have the battery checked at the battery store (it's free!).

Hello there, I just bought my ninang's 01 exalta sta and though the odo is just 48k, the car itself is due for a lot of repairs. I am looking into shelling out a considerable amount of money to get the car in decent shape, I hope you guys here can share some tips and advices as to what best to do and where best to go with the trouble that I'll be facing. Some on top of my list are:

1. Body repair and repaint (lots of scratches and some dents)
2. Unstable Idling ( based from what I read, maybe due to IACV?, servo?,etc)
3. ABS indicator always ON
4. Right side lock not working ( failed actuator)
5. Key lock not working
6. You need to slam the driver and front passenger door to close.
7. Stereo Head unit sometimes looses display, you need to push slightly to turn it on.
8. door wood panel design broken off by ignorant passenger (my aunt's relative)

I also look forward to having this improvements:
Rim and wheel upgrade
dark tint
side skirts and chin

I hope you guys can share some experiences and tips, I would really appreciate the help. thanks in advance.

done with engine top overhaul.. parts are very expensive.. i cant find any replacement for the piston rings.. so far satisfied with the performance.. one major thing i learned here is that you cannot replace the spark plug seal/gasket, if it's busted well you got to buy the whole valve cover..

Hi, need help badly. kagabi kasi naubos yung power steering fluid ko, and lakas ng leak. saan po ba may magaling na shop para ipaayos yung exalta.
mga magkano po kaya ang dapat ko iexpect na budget? do you think yung power steering hose lang kaya ang may problem?

tatanong lang ako bago ako kung magkano dito yung hinahawakan kapag bubuksan mo yung auto galing ka sa labas...yung binilhan ko nito dati e hindi sinabi na bali na pala yun at linagyan na lang ng pangdikit, bale nung pagbukas ko, hawak ko na yung handle pero hindi pa rin bukas yung pintuan...anyway, mahal ba yun? at saka san sa banawe ko pwedeng bilhin yun, kung alam niyo lang...maraming salamat sa tulong! :-)

lumala yung leak nya nung ginamitan ko ng murang atf, bka may alam kayong shop na pwede pagawan. baka alam nyo din ang expected budget.
common ba na sakit to ng exalta? madala kaya to ng repair kit?

What's your area? I had mine fixed at GTS Auto service at Congressional Ave, QC a few years back. Medyo mahal pero hindi na bumalik yung problem. Cost me around 8K to 10K. I bought a repair kit from the casa myself but they had to replace some hoses too.

wow. mahal pala. akala ko mga 3k lang pag repair kit. dito ako sa may united 2 paranaque. salamat dre, wait pa muna ako kung meron pang ibang shop na pwede medyo malayo kc congressional ave.

hi guys, im planning to buy a sentra ex 2003 as my first car and i found one sa internet at 150k, im just a little bit suspicious about the price kasi yung mga kasabayan nasa 200k up.,kadudaduda naba ito?

As per checking kulay red naman yung car saka hindi nakarizal plate, at i had one lovelife 2002 checked a few days ago,kulay blue napala siya pero narepaint lang.,ang problema ko, yung mechanic namin wala ngayon and i found one pero hindi ganun kagaling magcheck.,tulong on this one please.mileage is 100k.,pero aside from that kasi i dont know what questions to ask kasi after 2 weeks pa babalik yung mechanic namin so malamang by that time kung ok yung car nabenta na.,,thank you

any Dexron II ATF should be fine. I'm currently using Caltex, wala naman ako issues with it.

things to look for...
ex-taxi ba? 10K per year is a reasonable private car owner's mileage..
how's the overall look? does it look well-maintained, or parang minadali? cars that were reasonably cared for, generally look good in and out, even after 10 years.
engine should be one click start from cold. go inspect prospect cars early in the morning.
and above all, do not rush. if in doubt, pass. napaka-raming used cars on sale diyan..

too cheap? some sellers just want to get rid of the car.. but you have to size it up first. look at above.

i have a nissan exalta grandeur 2002. i have it for about 3 years now. i am a third owner. anyways, i have problems with it, recently bigla na lng namamatay after mag pa gas, i replaced the terminal na kasi maluwag, battery is more than 2 years na. is it time to replace the battery or may problem sa alternator?

also theere is a leak sa radiator and it seems na the fan only works pag naka on yung aircon.

also, grounded daw.

what should i do?

any help?
