    thanks in advance.

    i do not see any problem.
    if the car was running fine before it got mothballed, there should be no major issues in resurrecting her. nanigas lang ang lubrications.
    your only limiting factors are, how much money are you willing to go, and where will you get the good mechanic?
    i guesstimate 30K at may sukli na yan.
    good luck, po.

    hindi pa kasi bulok ang ilalim at ang katawan, i was actually surprised to see that its still in good condition. makintab pa yung paint after years na nasa ilalim ng puno!

    i was planning on making it run myself so i dont have to spend too much on a mechanic since i have a bit of experience in fixing cars...

    i was also thinking na engine, transmission, suspension, and brakes muna unahin ko. last na ang paint.

    Change oil ka muna. Tapos try mo i-crank yung engine manually dun sa crankshaft. That should release yung pistons kung stuck. Tanggalin mo muna spark plugs para mas madali icrank.

    Kung di macrank, lagot na. Malamang may sira engine like tukos valves or sirang bearings

    sir dagdag ko lang, kung mag change oil ka ibaba mo na ang oil pan then linisin mo na din. inspect mo na din makina kung may tulo if tama pagkakaalala ko ga13de ata makina niyan, sakit niyan is the valve cover gasket lang naman.

    pangilalim, ihuli mo na yan, ang importante mapatakbo mo muna makina then you can check the transmission (change oil na din) - tama si sir sirkosero, manual rotate it sa crankshaft.

    then clean the intake, since carb yan bugahan mo na din ng cleaner ugn carb bago mo machangeoil.

    sige, ibaba ko na lng ang oil pan.
    ga16dne po yung makina nya at fuel injected na siya, kaso lng updraft (carb style) intake sya di katulad ng sentra series 2 sentra super saloon na side draft.

    No.

    Do not attempt to crank the engine by using the head of the crankshaft pulley bolt.

    You are at risk of shearing the bolt head off (mapuputol = malaking problema)

    Try putting the car in gear (4th) and do a push and pull. Best done when you have an assistant doing the pushing and pulling while you check if the engine pulleys are turning.

    And I would assume that this models engine is already fuel injected. Drain your tank, and put in fresh fuel. After sitting there for awhile, the fuel lines maybe;

    * empty
    * gummed up
    * or blocked by deposits

    If this model sentra has an electric fuel pump, do not attempt to start the engine right away. Turn the key up to ON position only, this will let the fuel pump prime the fuel lines. Do it a couple of times, then attempt to start the engine.

    If it starts and runs, then you are good. If not, try enlisting the help of a good mechanic to sort out the gremlins. If you opt to do this yourself, google is your best info source.

    and by the way, kahit ikot ko when the engine is free so the oil would circulate hindi pwede?

    You cant let the oil circulate by just turning on the crank shaft pulley. One thing to do is remove all the sparkplugs, squirt oil (engine oil, not WD40) directly into the sparkplug holes and let it steep for a couple of hours, or overnight it you wish. Word of caution, before you remove the plugs, take care to clean the surrounding area. It should be free from any sort of debris, dust, etc.

    If your valve cover is off, you can squirt oil on the cam lobes also.

    Then with a strong battery, turn the engine over using the starter, sparkplugs are still out, so it will not start. This is why I instructed you to clean the areas before, so that contaminants wont get sucked in.

    Your engine should turn.

    errr... under the engine? in the usual place where japanese engineers put it.
    it is shaped the usual way japanese engineers design oil filters. easy to ID.
    easier to work on, if the car were up on a lift.
    if you're going to work on the oilpan, "it's just there, beside/near it, screwed to the engine block".

    there is a challenge removing the oilpan of the sentra's. hahahah.

    oil filter should be an easfy find, cant describe the exact location pero sa bandang likod siya ng engine sa ilalim, AFAIK.

    that is why, i leave it to the experts (the mechanics). i don't enjoy the feel of oil on my arms as much as i used to.
    and i can't lie down under the car anymore, either. too fat.
    i'm getting old...

    there is also a bit of a challenge in reaching the oil filter. one good thing is that the fuel filter is easily accessible, unlike some cars i have owned. the manual has a cable-type clutch, by the way.
