very strong car during it's time. dami din performance parts. sorry, dont have info on fuel consumption eh...
yea, yun din ang naramdaman ko when i tested it last saturday, sarap gamitin, apprehension ko lang with the size of the engine at sa mahal ng gas e baka hindi na ako kumainOriginally Posted by ssaloon

first time kung makita yan NISSAN-CEFIRO. sa pilipinas eh nagtaka ako, kasi bakit CEFIRO ang model name nya dyan! ngayon nilapitan ko na noon naka-park sa SM Mall.at alam kuna na d2 sa Middle East ang model name nyan ay MAXIMA.well, wala akong comment dyan.dahi hayup sa lakas at sa arangkada, bukod sa matulin.pero sori diko alam ang fuel consumption nyan, malakas yan pare sa gas-mamumulubi ka,he,he,he...
It's a good project car but for the daily drive, medyo mahirap na due to fuel consumption (2.4L 6cylinder engine na carb) and some regular parts will be harder to find. There are some members in Nissanbayan with a Cefiro (A31 chassis code), it was on display during the Sport Car and Truck Show last year at Megamall and it carried the SR20DET engine... he drives it on a daily basis.
141hp straight-6 yan. i remember a poster niyan. but it's ancient, baka better off ka with a nissan altima (gaya ni theveed, naks!) ganun din ang HP ng altima (SR20DE) although admittedly less torque.
try mo post and inquire dito, may section ng cefiro's dito though its more on usa poster, it might help.

Erwin ikaw ba to?
Ganda nyan, we had that when we were young, my dad sold it after 8 months or so coz my mom didn't like it (it's too lengthy) and bought a galant instead. Surprisingly tight sa likod considering its length, but loved it. Especially kung naka projector front tapos yung ridge-less tail-light (we got those from HK)...
Pajoz: I doubt if nagkaroon ng ganun sa US.
besides the 1989 local cefiro has a straight-6 engine (ala BMW) not a VQ. all the VQ engines are V6's.
The 2.4 GTS-R is a great project car, but parts are going to be a headache, so using it as both a project car and daily driver is a no-no... kung pang-long distance, it would be great... closest you can get to that old-school American car feel without buying one.
It's a great platform for projects. I've seen a few with Skyline(!!!RB25DET!!!) engines in them.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
yup ako 'to. naka-altima ka ba?(sabi ni orly) meron din kasi akong titnitignan isa pa, altima '96, kmusta ba FC nun at maintenance?Originally Posted by theveed

Maintenance, typical Jap, change oil lang naman at tune up katapat, once a year papa adjust ko idling and timing sa casa using the CONSULT2 computer, 400 bucks lang naman.
Consumo varies kung short trips o mas mahaba. If I use the car and travel daily from Pasig to Ortigas lang, I get around 6.5 lang or less, but kung umaabot ako makati it jumps to 7.3 or even more.
Ayaw masyado pag malapit hehe, maybe I should change to hotter plugs.
Note: AT yung akin. 2.0 not 1.8, matipid daw 1.8 na MT.
