Now I'm a bit lost. I was really opting for the Almera 1.5 E AT priced at P762k (P702k if cash?). But when I told my friend and asked about his opinion, he said the car is okay, but he warned me that I might have problems with the spare parts in the future. I told him that the Almera is made here, but he still insisted.

Before, I was also opting for Mirage G4 GLX CVT priced at P685K. But, I'm a bit concerned about the 1.2L 3-cyl engine & CVT tranny because we usually go to airport with 3 adults + driver + 3 toddlers. My brother's Honda City could easily handle that load, but with the G4, I'm a bit worried.

I may just go with Vios in the end.

unless your friend works for nissan and is in the know, ignore his advise.

very soon, those three toddlers will become little giants. no sedan, not even the city or vios, will be able accomodate all of you in reasonable comfort.
get something with more seats... ertiga...pre-owned innova...

kyb ph has a spring for the g4 that will help avoid bottoming out.

the 1.2 is not strong but combined with a cvt, it is enough for everday use. not too many complaints in the fb groups. highly praised for its excellent fc.

Thank you for this input. The thing is, I'm planning to keep this car as long as possible. God willing, maybe 10 to 15 years. So, I really have to get the unit with a good staying power without breaking too much on my wallet.

At P685k, G4 GLX CVT is good enough for me na and also, it took me quite a while to convince my wife for us to have the G4 kasi first choice talaga niya eh Vios. Thank you.

Thanks for you reply. What about mga issues, problema o concerns na dapat i-bantayan for a 3 to 4 year old Nissan Almera, yung 1.5?

    Thank you.

Sobrang kaunti lang po kasi ng Almera user dito and even on the road kaya siguro wala masyadong makapag-bigay ng advice.

And the usual na nagmo-moist yung headlights.

help choosing between this (1.5 E MT) or Ciaz (GL MT)

from what I read so far:

    both are spacious inside.
    +Fuel Economy for Ciaz
    +Features for Almera (1.5E MT)

I think Nissan also has a longer PMS interval? (is it 15k vs 4k?)

I'm mostly concerned with the Fuel Economy+PMS cost since OK na rin naman features ng base na CIAZ.
If the difference is not too big in terms of fuel eco+PMS cost, will probably choose the Nissan.

I'm a happy owner of Nissan Almera 1.5 E AT for 2 months now. As I've mentioned, never ko naman na-experience.

Halos parehas lang naman ang Almera at Ciaz in terms of power and space. About sa PMS, Almera is 1,000km first check-up, then every 10,000km na ang PMS. No idea ako about sa Ciaz.

Dito na lang talaga magkakatalo ang dalawa. The cost to own one: Suzuki Ciaz GL MT is priced at P748,000 while the Nissan Almera 1.5E MT is priced at P726,000 and can get a deal of upto P676,000 for cash payment. I don't know if Suzuki also offers cash discount for cash buyers. The freebies for Almera cash buyer isn't that much though: Vkool OEM tint, matting, EWD, seat covers, tools and windshield cover.

Ngayon, is the P72,000 price difference enough for you to consider in buying the Almera for Ciaz? You better think again. Are you going to sell it after 5 years or so and get a new one? Take note that Nissan has a very low re-sale value. At eto pa, the congress just passed a bill for the Fuel Excise Tax and it might be implemented by next year or so.

Early this year, my car developed this squeak at the rear of my car (2013 model). So far I can only hear it inside the car... so thinking could be something on the rear mounts for the suspension. Anyone else having this issue? mileage is pretty low (19k in the odo), but could be caused by traversing the bad roads of manila (the truck land on C5 for example)
