Just wanted to inquire regarding a nissan salesman's (in a mall display) sales pitch that the 2015 almera has an all new engine and tail lights? May discount daw so approx 690k sya for the m/t base model which is just within reach of the g4? Good buy vs the m/t vios and the g4... insights anyone? Tia

+1 to sir Horsepower. Afaik i once saw a facelift almera at nissan westgate late last year.projector headlights is prominent.not sure if that's the one they are going to release this year though. But at that price id stick with the sylphy m/t.

Was expecting more enthusiastic responses from almera owners. below 700k paper specs make the base almera the winner with best hp:weight ratio and cabin and boot volume. Still on the lookout for real world experience regarding the car especially regarding aftersales service of the new nissan co. Pms and parts price and availability. No decision yet re: G4 vs almera m/t pending a test drive. Many thanks again

i am also waiting for almera comments..
it would appear, the almera owners are not a very enthusiastic group.. parang camry or accord owners..?? laid-back...

So when i went to my 1k pms i've had the chance to talk to one owner of almera base matic.he is all satisfied with his unit. Except for the plastic that abound in the cabin performance was really good.fc was 9 to 11 on city and 14 to 16 at hiways. It's fast and can hold it's own with vios.very spacious all his passengers are good and comfy. In my opinion if you are comparing it with the g4 its a no contest the almera wins. My niece has the g4 and i have driven it. Aircon is not sufficient.on a not so sunny day with 5 of us it just neither hot or cold.i bet when full summer comes it'll be hot.been driving various cars and non has matched nissans aircon.and it's the one feature you'll crave for when conditions are really hot. Since then i always went for nissans. Mas maporma nga ibang brand but when you're sweating inside you'd wish you bought a nissan. Just my opinion sir. Peace to everyone! [emoji4]

i had a 1997 sentra... the aircon is really good! a shame i had to dispose of her.. umu-urong kasi yung kotse.. it's shrinking..
(or is it that i'm getting fat..?)
and i never had problems with nissan casas...

and quite by coincidence... i was just skimming the car reviews, as i was thinking of the G4 vis a vis the almera or vios..
... and what's with toyota? ..daming complaints on minor manufacturing details.. is it that, or are the owners just more picky now?

I have the same impressions...after reading reviews and comparos and testimonies the almera should be the hands down winner vs vios and g4...something must be amiss (lagging sales)...hmmmm

nissan does seem to be limiting its advertisement blast...
    teething problems?

passenger cars do not seem to be their priority...they're pushing the new Navarra now which i think on paper looks better than the rest esp the zero gravity seats and non-leaf spring rear suspension...about the almera not much negative comments regarding performance...its more on appearance which is not necessarily a dealbreaker...winner if it stays below 700k

    the price!
830K is, in my pocketbook's opinion, way too expensive... ka-ulap na siya ng basic altis..
these guys should study the filipino's quirks..

Sir pingpongdad. Nissan will always be my choice and i am baised becoz of my good experience with the brand.especially the a/c is a bonus.in my opinion it's a very underrated brand here in our country.i have observed that they build practical cars for the mass market. What we bought few months ago was the slyphy becoz the price of the almera matic and slyphy m/t is sooo close.didn't regret our decision.it was a nissan against nissan and the slyphy won. True value for your money sir.

It was the 690k (w discounts) for the base m/t that deserved consideration. Way cheaper than the 1.3 e vios and almost the same as the 1.2 g4. The 1.5 m/t vios is in the same range as the 1.6 e altis. Winner din ang sylphy if it can be had for just below 800k. Appreciate your insights. Tnx

Good for you . And agree with you as well.. underrated brand...the 2 nissan distributors seemed to be out of sync and did not help the brand...almost convinced on the almera...just looking for reasons not to do so and just making sure...690k for the base m/t much better than the 1.3 e vios and same as the g4 gls m/t...salamat ng madami

Why are you selling your Wigo? Specs pls.

BTT, Almera looks like a good option, I wonder how is it's FC, Almera AT compared to Mirage G4 CVT.

i've always been a nissan fan. i had such good experience with my old sentra. but the wigo was priced right (it cost half of what i was prepared to fork over) when i walked into the showroom to buy an AT innova... na-hypnotize ako.. (lookit them both.. parang mag-ama.).. i bought it just last august, and as i have other cars, i haven't done 4K on it yet.
i'm still mulling over getting an almera or G4 or vios or an AT innova. but i have to get rid of a car.. my garage is small.. it'll probably take me several months to decide.. typical of me.

If by chance those months pass...and much needed garage space has been created... i pray with you that by that time doubts would have been erased and that firesale indeed happens...and both of us will be posting selfies with our almeras.

...until a new model comes along

Almera sir is way better than it's competitors.at 690k you get a 1.5 engine a very spacious cabin and the best aircon of the lot. And an add'l 80k will get you the slyphy m/t. When you decide to purchase,it's best to scout for the best price.nissan mantrade offered us before the best deal.try to contact them.if you're interested i'll look for the s.a. no.and post it here sir.

Hi newbie here and an owner of an almera mt. So far, it is a very wise choice of conveyance for me. Very practical for its big cabin space. FC is around 9kpl at moderate to heavy traffic. And 14 to 15 kpl along NLEX. Very comfortable and has the quietest cabin among its class.exterior is just bland but i added some kit and ducktail worth 30k and the car became totally different!
