I've deposited a reservation fee for a unit early this november. However, just last week, the nissan launch a promo. A 61k discount for almera 2018 model. Difference of more or less 40k for brand new (0 mileage), euro 4 and latest model.

    yup.
    i know.
    still, 40K is 40K.

unless, that "new model" has something significant that the outgoing does not have.

in truth, the novelty of "new" wears off pretty fast.

The almera asean unit is still euro 2 unlike the 2018 almera which is euro 4. Does this really matters? Sorry, i don't have the idea what it is. Thanks for your reply.

What they offered was 2017 model, and what the other sales agent said was,it was still a euro 2. That were the units that were used in the asean summit. On the otherhand, the nissan promo today is for 2018 model, euro 4 already.

Nissan has two variant for almera 1.5 E A/T, the one with 762k and the 766k (2018 model) which the euro 4 already.

    Now my option are between
    A. The 100k discount or 662k for Asean Unit (with mileage but will be sold as brand new with same warranty) Almera 1.5 E A/T (Euro 2) or
    B. The 61k discount or 705k for Almera 1.5 E A/T (Euro 4) 2018 brand new model.

Am I getting a good deal with almera? Please help me decide. Anyone. Thanks

if i were you, i will get the 662k, the less cash out the better. parang nakuha mo na in advance yung supposed resale value.

As I've mentioned, never ko naman na-experience.

Halos parehas lang naman ang Almera at Ciaz in terms of power and space. About sa PMS, Almera is 1,000km first check-up, then every 10,000km na ang PMS. No idea ako about sa Ciaz.

Dito na lang talaga magkakatalo ang dalawa. The cost to own one: Suzuki Ciaz GL MT is priced at P748,000 while the Nissan Almera 1.5E MT is priced at P726,000 and can get a deal of upto P676,000 for cash payment. I don't know if Suzuki also offers cash discount for cash buyers. The freebies for Almera cash buyer isn't that much though: Vkool OEM tint, matting, EWD, seat covers, tools and windshield cover.

Ngayon, is the P72,000 price difference enough for you to consider in buying the Almera for Ciaz? You better think again. Are you going to sell it after 5 years or so and get a new one? Take note that Nissan has a very low re-sale value. At eto pa, the congress just passed a bill for the Fuel Excise Tax and it might be implemented by next year or so.

    hey matt!
you've been driving the almera for over 7 months now.
any developments that potential buyers like me, should know about?
    thanks.

We got the 2018 E AT. It will say on the documents that it's Euro 4. Car is awesome! For 701K (exclusive of some fees that will cost 5-7K) you get power doors, windows, mirrors, and power trunk(!) Parang magic You don't get that from a similarly priced Vios. Super luwag pa ng trunk. If you ever become homeless pwede kang maglagay ng unan at humiga lol. Mas maluwag pa interior at mas maganda sounds kesa sa 2015 MU-X. Super lamig aircon kahit naka- 1 lang. All beige and there's USB for music playback. Super smooth you won't notice it shifting. My first choice was actually the Ciaz but it was more expensive. Then we we're set on getting a Vios before we found the Almera. We don't regret getting this car.

Freebies included payong, tint, matting seat covers and EWD.

Also there's a speaker for every door and 3 cup holders plus two soft bottle holders on the front doors. There's no air vents for the back passengers.
