    Based on carguide's first drive

Having said that, Nissan missed the opportunity to install grab handles for the driver. This makes ingress and egress more difficult.
This is the most obvious. I wonder why did Nissan choose to omit the driver side grab handle? This should be standard already.

Meron na rin sa Nissan Southwoods, pinuntahan ko sya kahit bumabagyo to check out the display. Malakas nga ang dating nya. My wife almost signed up for the red one. Unfortunately, that tumble down button for the 2nd row switch failed on us after only "2" tries. Even the sales agent on the floor coud'nt fix it. Thats an instant deal breaker on reliability right there. Sadly we walked out the door very disappointed. I had real high hopes for the terra, i hope my experience would be just a fluke

Boss displays with power seats and power liftgates have these common occurrences in the showroom because buyers tend to play with them hence battery discharges quickly. They dont really start these cars in the showroom. I had the same experience in ford checking out the explorer power seats.

Guys, anyone here (or knows someone) who already test drove the Terra?

Would appreciate your feedback on the ride, comfy ba or matagtag?

    Thanks

Dumaan ako Nissan North Edsa nung nagpaservice ako.

Visually I like it enough. So it gets a pass from me. Best looking? No. But appealing enough, just like the Sylphy is when compared to its competition.

there's a display of the brown TOTL at nissan sta. rosa until june 25. according to the SA, 30k worth of accessories for the 1st 2000 buyers. that include that missing spoiler, genuine matting and luggage tray.

i thought the 3rd row is the worst among its competitors. but when the 2nd row is fully slided at the front and you recline the 3rd row, it seems that it is more comfortable than the everest and even looks wider. in everest, i can also have nice leg room when the 2nd row is fully slided but its not comfortable maybe because the seat cannot be reclined. by the way, i still have ample leg room at the 2nd row even it is fully slided at front. drivers seat is adjusted to my driving position and im 5'7.

IMO its 3rd row is really good, 2nd best among mid size SUV (only next to the Fortuner).

The 2nd row can be moved forward, the 3rd row foot space is ample (hindi mo ilulusot ang paa mo sa ilalim ng 2rd row seat), the 3rd row seat can be reclined. The only setback I can see is that it only has 2 headrests and the 3rd row flooring is not flat entirely (kinda elevated towards the sides). But this is still by far better than the 3rd row of MUX, TB, Everest and Montero.

Really? Only 2nd best compared to Fortuner 3rd row? Brother has current Fortuner and I still find that not good for adults more than 5'6" in height. Photo showed of the interior (poster) in Nissan. Makes it look like there is ample (more than fortuner slightly) when adjusting both 2nd row and 3rd row, plus the rear space remaining for cargo as a lot more than what you get in Monty and Fort (I assumed this was because of the greater overall length). Was assuming 'space wise', Everest would be king still then the Terra, followed by the MUX/Trailblazer (same chassis), then Fortuner, lastly Montero for this case.

I'll hope to see the actual unit in August and September!

Sigh! Would have gone last weekend to Nissan N.E. if I knew they were pulling out the unit on Monday.

Checked the actual unit at Nissan BGC. The 2nd row legroom was huge. With driving position adjusted at 5’6, I had around 20cm of legroom with seats pushed all the way back, and around 15cm at middle position. Width and headroom was also great, making it feel one of the most, if not the most spacious 2nd row in the class. The only qualm I had is with the middle passenger seat, the lap belt looked it was scattered on the seat, and there were no headrest.

The 3rd row legroom is tight with 2nd row in rear most position, and becomes acceptable when its pushed forward a bit. And though reclining the seatback made it more comfortable, the knees were shot up so high due to high floor and flat seat, making the thigh support almost non-existent. It reminded me of the 3rd row of our 2nd gen Everest, where I was more comfortable sitting cross-legged rather than the regular seating position.

The photo of 2nd row legroom with seats pushed all the way back:

Is the Terra similar to the US pathfinder?

Lines look similar nga but IIRC the Pathfinder has the same platform as the Maxima. Monocoque sya.

Saw the Terra in the metal and while I was impressed by the interior space and amenities, was let down by the sea of hard plastics and foot rest of the 3rd row.

The doors feel solid and fit and finish were pretty good. I liked the abundance of cupholders, vents and map lights.

I don't know why the rated wading depth is so low. The car sits so high despite the smaller 255 tires that it seems like it could go at least 600mm deep.

Maybe engine air intake and differential breather hose are low ...
