Simply because GDi engines won't work here. Masisira lang because of the fuel quality.

Yep James Deakin took it for a spin in Dubai (if I'm not mistaken) and he did comment that it should sport an Infiniti badge and not Nissan. It's that good daw.

I don't know how the local version stacks against the Dubai version though. Yung engine/tranny lang kaya ang difference?

considering the price and features...possible naman na competition na nya is the land rover ehh..i dunno bout the cayenne...considering the off road tech is near the land rover...i guess nissan/umc is trying its best to "upgrade/expand" its market share..they upgraded the murano then now expanded the patrol lineup..ang lamang naman talaga dati ng range rover is ung terrain response and the luxury na sobra sobra plus off road heritage...eh ngayon ung patrol meron na rin ehh...para sa mga hard core offroader at ung mga medyo wala pera..andyan pa naman ung super safari...

Actually ang katapat na ngayon ng LC200 ay Patrol Royale Y62.So far wala pang diesel variant pero magkakaroon din yan for sure lalo na para yan sa Australian,New Zealand at European markets yang diesel nayan(kasama na dyan of course ang Pinas).

AFAIK ang katapat nito na presyo na Land Rover ay yung LR4 Discovery 4 Liter SE pero nasa 5.8 Million Pesos nayun ngayon.Cayenne?Nasa 6.250M Pesos yung base variant at puny 3.6 Liter lang ang engine nyan.

I saw an article in Auto Industriya regarding the new Patrol. It's P5.375 million. Whew! And I thought the Land Cruiser is already expensive.
