Hello mga fellow tsikoteers! Gusto kong gawin itong thread na to para sa mga advices ninyo for my beloved Sentra, I hope to get many helpful advice from fellow Sentra lovers.

    Background muna.

I got my red 96 Sentra when I was in 3rd year college, as in super love ko, kaso ang problema kulang ako sa pera, kaya hanggang change oil, car wash at wax lang kaya kong ibigay.

Sadly (as in super depressed ako), nagkakaroon na siya ng mga bula sa may side skirt sa malapit sa front wheels tapos maluwag na yung trims sa passenger window, nadudumihan na rin ako under the hood kasi wala akong pang detail, etc., etc. (will post pics soon), research ako ng research kaso mahirap, at wala ako gaano time kaya dito ako humihingi ng tulong.

Now may trabaho na ko at gusto kong bigyan ng T.L.C. oto ko time frame ko eh ayusin ko muna yung makina for this year, next year yung body, third year interiors and accessories.

So, for this year engine muna.

I recommend you to S.S Banawe (Street Specs). They'll know what to do w/ your car up to the time balak mo ng mag engine swap ng SR20DE... or SR20VE, SR16VE, SR20DET, or SR20VET!! ;) Save up lang and you'll have your car like new soon.

Hi! IMHO po make sure ano muna priorities mo. If you are going for speed then SR looks just keep it stock. Unti unti lang muna boss. Make sure to have a tune up and go from there. Or yun nga sa streetspecs kabisado na nila nissan engines look for digs then pakita mo problem auto mo. Other option is speedyfix look for migs.

You can also visit clubnissansentra.tk or sentraclubph.tk. Enjoy your engine. Malakas yan ga16dne.. panalo torque nya bro.

Ah oo nga GA16DNE na siya, not GA16DE. Too bad, mas malakas ng konto ang DE. But that's alright, fix the engine first. One at a time... take it one at a time. Good luck!

Thank you mga sirs!

Super Unleaded (Shell) or XCS(Petron), currently Unleaded ako ngayon kasi hindi mabilis uminit makina tapos parang mas maganda FC, especially sa traffic ng going from Rizal to Taguig and back.

Thanks!

Yeah torque wise ok siya, almost the same sa earlier GA16DE of B13 ECCS SuperSaloon. Stock to stock the the Sentra was really a bit quicker than the Rollas during that time. The civic being the fastest though since their cams has a variable valve lifts aka vtec.

On the fuel any premium gas would do. On the engine swap, the S.S guys do it all in package na. They have the engine, harness, ecu, axle, and tranny. The engines are jdm surplus of course. I suggest if you're decided on going on swap, you have a bit more budget, and still like your car n.a, get the SR20VE instead of the DE, so you'll have a 2L w/ NeoVVL... NeoV is what the Japs call "Nissan double vtec", since it has in and ex variable lifts that engages on different rpms for a more consistent power curve. But then again if you have more budget pa and want more power, there's always the DET or or the "ultimate SR" the SR20VET.

    Good luck!

#1 seems like an electrical problem. Ilan years na ba yun battery? Maybe its time to replace it.

#2 Since hindi ko alam kung ano yun source ng "tik", it's hard to pinpoint the exact problem area. Ipacheck mo nalang just to be sure but idling at 500-1000RPM is normal pa.

#3 Again, seems like an electrical problem to me. Have your power windows checked by your suking auto electrician.

#4 Not normal. I'm suspecting sira yun gauge, but that's optimistic. There might be bigger problems lurking.

#5 Seems normal considering its age.

As for the XCS vs Shell Unleaded. Same "fuel rank" lang sila. Go with the one you "feel" has the better effect. We can't tell you which one since iba-iba effect niya from engine-to-engine. You may feel less engine vibration from the XCS due to its 95 octane rating versus 93 on the Shell Unleaded though.

Can't help on the engine swap topic wala akong experience dyan.
