pissword,
two rigid axles + turbodiesel + A/T option + available 4wd = excellent off-roader
Hero,

Expect the Patrol GU model to last 6 years or more, just like what UMC did to the Patrol GQ series. Nakakadalawang modelo na ang Pajero, yung lumang Patrol same old design with new center hood emblems and faux wood interior panels... duh!!! As if it would add more to its performance???

siguro ngayon d na katulad nung sa safari, kasi bago na ang nissan now, nung time ng safari medyo tagilid sila so nagtitipid siguro sa R&D...pero now siguro ndi na medyo umaangat na naman sila eh. pero tingnan nyo rin toyota lagi 5 years or so ang lifespan ng isang model... puro minor changes lang, kadalasan cosmetic ang binabago sa mga sasakyan nila.
maybe strategy na din ng nissan.
hanggat madami bibili d papalitan.

ungas,
siguro yung bagong patrol magiging IFS na rin following the lead of the Land Cruiser 100. siguro lang. hehe

Nah, it can't follow and Nissan should NOT design it that way. Unless front IFS proves much articulation more than the front solid diffs. The keyword is offroad traction. :D

Automobile manufacturer's trends are into driving and passenger comfort zones. Then add those pesky switches for traction, hill descend, and even 4WD mode have turned into an electronic switch instead of the more robust floor lever.

Masyado kasing madaming tao na wanna be seen in an SUV pero do not want to put up with the discomfort. If they want comfort, get a cute ute.
For me ok lang sakin kahit 15 years pa silang hindi magpalit ng modelo. Ok naman ang GU at GQ. Yung GQ may brand new pa din niyan sa China. Gusto ko nga ng isa. hehehehe.
