    Hello peeps.

Pa-comment naman sa vanette especially the grand coach. I need a bigger vehicle dahil lumalaki na rin pamilya, pero yung mura lang dahil hindi naman lumalaki ang kita

we actually found one and it's priced 298k (pwede daw 280 neg.).specifically my concerns are fuel consumption, maintenance (parts avalability, price and kung kaya ng neighborhood talyer) and ride quality.

no need to comment on looks and ICE.

you may also suggest equivalent ride on the same price. TIA

malakas talaga sa gas ang vanette pero malamig naman ang aircon. kung yung grand coach ang kukunin mo, much better kasi mas maganda yun compare sa unang labas na vanette. yung sa tita ko binenta na kasi sobrang lakas na sa gas.

    * sir syuryuken - its an option pero i prefer minivans as it would be more comfortable for my tsikitings

    * sir hahnvin - how thirsty is the vanette? the agent told us that it can do 8 kpl in city driving. if that is true, i can live with that as my rolla '91 only gives me 8 to 9+ kpl (depending on the traffic)

    tnx guys.

It's the Grand Coach. It has a different cooling system from the earlier Vanettes, which were really prone to overheating.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    IMO:

You cannot expect exemplary fuel consumption from vans, as they will always be in the vicinity of 6Km/L to 8Km/L (city to highway driving)

I own a 98 Nissan Vanette(got it brand new) and I sure am one happy camper. The fuel consumption is 6Km/L city driving, improving to about 7Km/L on highway driving but this is just the same as the diesel consumption of our (almost 2 year old) Hyundai Starex TCI. Of course, the diesel is cheaper by approximately 15% vs. gasoline.

Overheating is not a problem anymore. I engaged one of the aircon shops to reposition one of the condensers and placed an additional auxilliary fan on it.

    Others:
    > Ride is bumpy
    > Very sturdy and reliable (haven't replaced a part outside of PMI in 6 years)
    > Aircon is so cool.
    > Great seating capacity
    > Even if the engine is underneath the driver and the front seat passenger, the seats are not 'hot', as what the others have stated or perceived.

haynaku, just for the benefit of future readers who are planning to have a vanette.. just to share my experience. bwiset ang vanette na yan. alang problema sa looks, gwapo kesa liteace, alang problema sa space, para ka na ring naka expedition(charoz) alisin mo lang ang 3rd row seats. pero curse the middle mount engine nito. ang hirap i-maintain. (time/effort/money). overheat? yes! yes and YES! (so does lite ace, mb100 and L300 VV or even brand new exceeds needs a modification of the engine cooling system) even the vanette parts. phase out na sa nissan casa. (Ever wondered bakit nga ba di na nagproduce ng middlemount mid-sized vans sa pinas?)Nga naman comfort comes with a price. In fairness sa mga middle mounts, Madalang and almost wala pa akong nababalitaang problem ng Nissan urvan kahit magtumbling pa mga kids mo sa loob, maluwang yan(mahal nga lang).
If i were you, go for the front mount engines na lang. Less prone sa overheat and easier to maintain. AUV diesels are reliable, (quote isuzu crosswind) much that they are younger models than the beat up lite aces/vanettes etc...

I need comments on Nissan Vanette!
