Had my AC compressor replaced on my Serena and after they put everything together and started the car, the engine dies after a few seconds. It was later diagnosed that my Crankshaft pulley was slipping causing the alternator not to turn as normal. I then replaced it with an aftermarket brand coz it was 1/3 the price of original. It worked for 3 days and then while driving in Marcos hiway, car suddenly dies on me again. Same symptoms as before and good thing there was a petron station to my right as I was able to manuever to the station even with heavy steering and weak brakes. Not to mention all those damn jeeps that won't give way to me.

Need advise on what to do next:
1) is it possible that the new compressor is causing the problem?
2) Or did I just got a cheap pulley?
3) Can I just weld the 2 pulleys so that it won't slip? there is a rubber that connects the 2 pulleys.

(BTW, I actually posted this in the Nissan Serena thread but since this may be a generic topic, I just reposted as a separate thread.)
