November 19th, 2008 10:01 AM #2In my opinion, di competent ang mga mechanic na pinagtatanungan mo. Kung me langis na sa spark plug, it could mean that busted yung piston rings and needs to be replaced. Now sa sobrang carbon sa plugs mo, I think sobrang rich ang mixture ng carb mo. My suggestion is that you need to bring your car to a reputable shop and have their mechanic evaluate and estimate the labor and parts involved for the repair.
May I remind you that buying a surplus engine does not guarantee a 100 percent that your problem will be solved since its a used engine. A friend of mine bought a surplus engine for his Nissan Vanette and he ended up having it fixed after 1 month of use since loose thread na ang bolt ng exhaust manifold which required the cylinder head to be removed and the thread re-done in the machine shop. The mechanic noticed this while inspecting the engine when my friend complained of loss of power and high fuel consumption. In the end my friend had to shell out an additional 3k for the repair.
If you live near Cainta, I highly recommend that you can go to RG Auto Supply in Ortigas Extension and look for Renato Evangelista. If you are going to Pasig from Antipolo, their shop is at the right side at front of Brookside Hills Subdivision. Their shop number is 6555795.

Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
