ABS. ICE. DVD. A1. 4WD. ZD30DDTi. Tunnel sensors. These are not just a mix of signs, acronyms and numbers. Rather, these are indicators of what one will experience when one drives the Nissan Patrol 2005 Edition.
The car offers the added comforts of braking stability in slippery conditions with its anti-lock braking system (ABS) which features a four-channel, four-sensor system that places one ABS sensor per wheel.
The system makes sure that when the PATROL reduces speed, unusual deceleration characteristics on any of the SUV's wheels will be given the correct reduction in brake pressure until the sensors detect tire acceleration.
The sensors then provide the necessary information to the electronically controlled master cylinder to increase brake pressure until it sees deceleration again.

The car offers the added comforts of braking stability in slippery conditions with its anti-lock braking system (ABS) which features a four-channel, four-sensor system that places one ABS sensor per wheel.
gives the system maximum braking power and provides a big boost to the vehicle's primary safety system.
The Patrol is also equipped with a tunnel sensor which automatically turns on headlamps when the SUV passes through a tunnel or when it encounters a sudden dip in light intensity, making the driving less accident-prone.
Passengers looking for amusement on long trips will definitely enjoy the SUVs digital video disc (DVD) ` capable in-car entertainment (ICE). along with two 6.5-inch Clarion monitors mounted behind the driver and front passenger headrests.
The Patrol also comes with forward-facing third row seats which can be folded in a 60/40 manner to accommodate bulky cargo.
Just because the Patrol has a lot of frills does not mean that it's lacking in thrills. Under its hood is a turbocharged and intercooled ZD30DDTi 3-Liter engine with M-Fire combustion technology for complete diesel burn, producing less exhaust emissions and engine noise.
It delivers 155 horsepower at 3,600 rpm and a torque of 261 pounds-feet at 2,000 rpm.
The M-Fire combustion technology was recently awarded the energy conservation prize of Japan for its enhanced engine performance and reduced nitrogen oxide emissions.
Those who prefer gasoline to diesel will be relieved to know that the car also has a petrol variant, containing an equally powerful 4.5L TB45E power plant with NISSAN ECCS (Electronic Concentrated Engine Control System) for precise fuel injection.
The engine is also environment friendly, for it has an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) feature that lowers oxygen concentration by recirculating large quantities of exhaust gas to the intake air charge, keeping combustion temperature from rising and reducing nitrous oxide emissions.
Noteworthy about the EGR feature is that it was recently lauded for an energy conservation prize in Japan for its enhanced engine performance and reduced nitrogen oxide emissions.

of course, the exterior details will differ and perhaps a lot as far as the interiors are concerned
but at least the design has not substantially changed not like the change from the gen 1 to the gen 2 pajero and then from the gen 2/2.5 to the gen 3 pajero. same with the prado and the land cruiser (from the lc 90 to the lc 100). or the patrol Y60 to the patrol Y61
