wow, this is the best sentra ever
. great interior room, deceivingly quick around the city, and almost dead quiet as long as you dont go heavy on the gas (or it turns into a sewing machine). the only minor things not mentioning the early recalls were plastic bits inside that scratches easily and the engine braking(?) during deceleration. last, this is a great ride for commuters, not for tuners.
i agree though at that price range, at least provide more than base package.

April 24th, 2010 12:43 AM #74Dumating na pala ang North American Sentra. Sana dalin din nila ang SER and SER Spec V version. I own the Nissan Sentra SR same engine as the Sentra na dinala sa Pinas ngayon 2.0 liter(MR20DE) engine. Sa SER and SER spec V 2.5(QR25) engine. Sporty ang SR and mapaka quiet ng interior halos walang road noise. Its bang for your buck at sa price range nya(dito sa US) mas maraming standard features kaysa sa corolla S. Ang dinala sa pinas Base at SL trim.

not bad. still roughly the same as the "consumption of a 1.6" on the civic. hehehe
btw, the sentra also has a porky curb weight of 1,300 kg (2,899 - 2,907 lbs)... similar to that of the focus and cruze. so don't expect any fuel efficiency miracles (especially in the city).
the new sentra is of course far better than the previous model. But in terms of pricing, its contemporaries really have more kit (while having drivetrains and engines just as sophisticated)

Sana nga dalhin yan dito..
The locally assembled new Sentras will be available later this year with more variants to come(aalisin na yang bare variant na 2 Liter M/T variant).Temporary lang yang CBU units na galing Mexico na binebenta ng NMPI.

Pero at 1.050M for the base sentra model, are they nuts ?

Temporary units lang ang CBU units na new Sentra rito but the locally assembled ones will be much better in terms of pricing according sa friend ko na Nissan dealer din.
Not yet..... I'm still consolidating those quotations as different dealers gave different discount...
