apparently the 6 speed M/T is really the base model at 1.05 million pesos...
with no mags (steel wheels!), no foglamps, no leather seats, no automatic climate control, no rear discs, no ABS, and no 6-cd changer...
(this is according to motioncars.)
good grief. no thanks. I'll take the new TDCi focus sedan with the same amount of money please.
(argh may AT na trend sedan naaaaa... aaaaa.)Last edited by scharnhorst; April 23rd, 2010 at 06:29 PM.

USDM much ?
On the serious note ...
If the base model is sooo ohh stripped down then they should think twice about their price. The Ford Focus TDCi is just a few thousand pesos apart and it's way way better.
I really don't care if they release the 6 speed M/T. I`ll take the alloy rims, foglamps, rear discs and ABS over that anyyytime.

MAHAL! Tapos pag panahon na ibebenta mo na babaratin ka pa ng buyer dahil Nissan... I would rather get a Cruze than this tutal kung bagsakan naman sa resale value at least mas value for money pa rin yung Cruze.

I think NMPI rushed it kaya ganyan ang nadala nila rito.CBU na galing Mexico na new Sentra..Then again the locally produced new gen Sentras are coming later this year na mas mura.
Focus? That 1.8 liter gas guzzler like the Cruze?
MAHAL ba kamo?Again Kia Forte at Hyundai i30 yun ang mahal..

The Focus and the Cruze is yes, a gas guzzler. But then again, both of the two is cheaper and has more toys than what the base-sentra offers.
Although if I had the money I wouldn't be really buying the Cruze since it's maintenance would cost an arm.
The Focus 1.8L or the 2.0L TDCi is really my best bet if I have that large moolah. And don't forget too the lancer EX GT.
Yes ... 2 said vehicles may be more expensive but at least my money will be worth spent.

The price in the US for the 2.0 is Honda Fit level. That 1.05m for the base model (and I'm looking at the brochure, what's listed at 1.05 is the car we viewed at the launch) compares to the US 16k base how?
From the numbers, given what the Civic is priced at, the base Sentra should be 850k. But it's saddled with importation duties, thus 1.05.
Yup. The Lancer EX GTA is sooooo overpriced... with its 18-inch rims, full bodykit, Rockford Fosgate......yeah, right...

Hopefully, locally or ASEAN assembled Sentras will bring the price down to the proper level... and will improve the interior materials... the door cards are even cheaper than Mitsubishis... and the urethane steering wheel is as ugly as the one on the Picanto.Last edited by niky; April 23rd, 2010 at 08:15 PM.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
