All about Nissan Cefiro [merged threads]

im selling my car this week...cguro cefiro na lang ang bibilhin ko e highway ang daan ko parati..nagdaan na ako sa maliit na sedan..jap pickup at malaking 4x4...cguro luxo cruiser on a budget naman! hehehe

look at my choices..wide variety talaga..budget ko mga 1.4..

1. cefiro elite na 2000
2. bnew 2003 cefiro elite
3. bnew rav4 ..(kaso parang di ata ganon kaganda ride..)
4. bnew forester..(dont know what got into me..parang maganda)
5. escape..ito talaga dapat e wala naman mabili..wala akong gagamitin!!!

my dad gave me a 2nd hand nissan cefiro a31...

where can i have a general check-up and a low-price but quality service?
also i heard that installing a air-filter can increase torque by a little percent?
but our mechanic told me that it will be useless since carb daw ung auto ko..

and what modifications can i do so that i can maximize the speed and potential of my car...?

m/t or a/t? cheapest ways to gain torque is to invest in brand new quality air filter (stock is fine), overhauling the carb and making sure the timing and valve adjustments in the engine are correct for the type of fuel you use. liit lang ang HP gains nito pero ramdam naman sa arangkada.

if you want serious power, well, you must spend. there is no such thing as a powerful but cheap mod. all the worthwhile ones cost a small pile of money. kung may super cheap mod that can give at least 20HP to the wheels, andami na sana nagddrag race na vw beetle or kia pride sa daan ngayon, hehehe.

hello guys! mga sir/bossing! im so happy na nakakita ako ng forum para sa mga cefiro owners tulad ko. newbie here. 1998 model yung sa akin...may mare-recommend ba kayo kung saan makakabili ng mga parts (surplus) na di naman ako matataga? kailangan ng palitan yung pang ilalim ko.masyado ng matagtag kahit na medyo makinis ang daan dinig mo na ang kalog ng sasakyan. kindly reply mga sir pls... im from laguna...tnx much!

The Cefiro VQ engine is picky when it comes to octane rating IMO (at least in the '97-'01 A32 model). The engine requires at least 95 octane.

As aforementioned, 17's or 18's lang ang katapat niyan and the car really looks great... plus you'll still have enough rubber to protect the rims from potholes. The stock headlights of the '97-'99 Elite are also kinda weak IMO (the ones with the glass headlights). Just put relays, rewire and Bosch ceramic sockets, then put a Philips or Osram 90/100W bulb and the lighting is very much improved already.

The lens on the '00-'02 Cefiro (the plastic ones) can get dark i think, it can be cleaned though.

personally i liked the body before the current model. what year did that model came out? but if i had the money a cefiro would definitely be on the list followed by the accord and lastly by the camry.

planning to get one as well - para sa akin - ganda ng itsure and the engine is a VQ - winner sa engine awards. he!HE!HE!

ako gusto ko yung present body and then yung unang elite na model body.

ewan ko kung ako lang, but i observe na ang ganda ng tunog ng pagsara ng pinto ng mga nissan, be it cefiro, sentra, etc. parang buong-buo yung tunog, and di tunog lata like the other cars.

I know what you feel.. ganun din yung experience namin ngayon (must be the same with most people nowadays). We already had to give on some good deals that fell on our laps because of other financial obligations. Tiis din kami (plus the color coding is adding more to that as well).

may tanong lang ako...mayroon bang binago ang setting ng suspension ng 97 at 99 at 01 elite?..kasi sabi nila mas malambot daw ang 99 than 01 elite? or same lang lahat from 97 to 01?

I also heard about such changes... Mas malambot DAW yung sa '99-'01 Elite then '97-'98 Classic but I have ave not confirmed it yet. Could be just some differences with the shocks maybe.
