you mean the NEWER Patrol's engine is inferior with the older one? sorry ha medyo ignorant ako sa patrol. pero interested ako.

Talagang marami lang fans ang TD42. Old school kumbaga.

Ako din, GU with TD42 ang pangarap ko. Six cylinders and a truckload of torque.

ZD30 is a small-capacity, high-tech, four-cylinder... maarte sa fuel, lots of electronic gizmos, and some people feel that it's simply two cylinders short for a heavy wagon like the patrol, but it's said to be more responsive on-road and on-boost and its definitely more powerful per cubic inch... it's also more fuel-efficient and its emissions are much cleaner, and it's available with both a manual and an automatic tranny.

yung TD42 is an ancient large-capacity, low-tech, low-power six-cylinder that was not originally designed to be turbocharged. but it has a reputation for being indestructible and since it doesn't have much electronic controls, it's easy to repair and maintain. however, this engine is not available with an automatic transmission, unlike the ZD30.

there are turbo kits for the TD42. i think available din yan locally, parang meron si AutoXer aka Ferman Lao. he have a shop somewhere in banawe.
