This is the 2026 Nissan Almera/Versa; coming soon to PH? | Autoindustriya

the B-segment sedan has just been fully revealed for Mexico, and it's actually a major refresh.

That's right, the fourth-generation Nissan Almera (AKA Nissan Versa) just received a major redesign inside & out, along with plenty of important upgrades to keep the subcompact sedan fresh.

Paliit ng paliit ang ilaw. Ang headlight naging DRL, and foglamp umangat naging headlamp. Nakakaduleng.

Wag naman sana ang rear maging "is it going o coming"?

For almost 5 years, I had the Fiesta Ecoboost. Despite its small 997cc 3-cylinders, turbocharging made it a potent powerplant for the Fiesta. The Asian tune is set to 125hp * 6k rpm and 170Nm * 1800 rpm with an overboost function pushing torque to 200Nm from 4500 rpm onwards.

The engine does rev higher at idle rpm compared to the usual 1.3L to 1.6L 4-cylinder engines (950 rpm vs 700 rpm). However, power and torque delivery is better than a 1.6L NA. There is noticeable turbo lag but once the engine revs at 2k rpm, the engine just goes alive and the tach just goes to 6k rpm easily.

Is that 200Nm of torque during overboost mode sustained until redline? If it is then the car is actually making something like 168hp in overboost mode

    200 Nm = 147.51 lb-ft
    147.51 lb-ft * 6000rpm / 5252 = 168.51 hp

With my experience driving the Fiesta Ecoboost, the overboost feature is only for a short period, a few seconds (maybe half a minute). It goes from 4500 to 5500 usually.

In Europe, the top tune for the 1.0L Fox engine is at 140hp/210Nm.

... medyo slow-selling sa local market, as evidenced by their relative rarity on the roads...

are they (well, their cvt) as unreliable as what furrin posts claim?

also, a local post-er said that they were not as fuel-efficient as claimed...

Agree... I know a company who used to issue the previous gen Almeras to all their employees, 3 years ago, they went back to Toyotas

I believe this should also be the same CVT used by Mitsubishi and Renault...

This ones expected... a regular car engine needs gas... I have a colleague (also a neighbor) who uses a Turbo Raize and she gets 5km/l (I told her to get the entry level Kicks... pero she believes in the brand daw)

Plenty people idle unnecessarily in their cars with aircon on ... then complain about fuel efficiency and fuel costs ... for women ... it's because they don't want their face masks to melt ...

    as an aside,
some reviewers say the 1.0 raize turbo gets less km/li than the 1.2 non-turbo.
so what is the turbo's claim to faime?
