Between the newer terra vl and fort ltd, which is the better choice for longdrive? ,comfort, and ease in driving ?
Unless maprove na significantly longer braking distance yung rear drums sa daily driving, non issue yan so long as well modulated.
Yung persistent issue sa Navara/Terra is the kabig steering even after alignment. I wonder with the updated steering ratio, kung inayos na rin ito.
I have the old one and well modulated naman yung brakes for me. Some like shallower pedal travel but for an SUV like this ok for me yung mas maraming travel. Re: steering bummer, still no reach adjustment. But the faster ratio with the flatter/thicker steering wheel is a big plus. Was also hoping for paddle shifters.
Yung steering issue I think has to do with the rack and pinion mount bushings. I don't have it yet in mine but I have <16Tkm pa lang kasi. Some have upgraded to PU bushings like Superpro. Just not sure I want to go that route kasi matigas yung PU bushes na nagamit ko before. Would be great if anyone can post their experience with PU bushes in the Terra here.
Bushings are meant to absorb vibration so with stiffer PU bushes, any unwanted movement will instead travel upwards. Mas mafefeel mo feedback sa steering wheel when driving. Premature wear and tear is possible.
Same with PU suspension bushes, mas matibay nga pero at the expense of stiffer ride quality, baka madamay lang yung ibang parts in the long run.
Naalala ko tuloy si ray noel dahil sa Terra. Mula ng hindi na masyado mag post si LM, nawala na rin [emoji16][emoji3577]
My 2023 Terra Sports is exhibiting gear shifting issues in steep roads. In uphill climb either it upshift to 3rd gear or does not downshift, causing the engine to almost stall. I had to use manual mode to downshift it to 2nd gear.
When I passed Bitukang Manok zigzag in Atimonan, the gear locks to 3rd gear and will not downshift. I have to use manual mode and downshift to 2nd gear before it stall. My other diesel cars does not have this kind of issue when passing Bitukang Manok. I first noticed this issue when the unit is still in Cebu, I have it scaned and they find no error. I searched the FB groups and some owners observe the same issue, to them they think the engine has not enough power but to me its not the engine its the 7AT transmission. Unfortunately as per the other owners this issue has not been solve.
The Terra suspension is really good plus the zero gravity seats and auto lumbar support made my 10 hour long drive relaxing. But the 7 AT transmission sucks in uphills. The low and high beam led headlights also has a dark spot in between which is annoying, feels like the low beam alignment is too low and the high beam is too high.
Ang iniisip ko baka hindi na break in ng maayis kasi more than a year na , 2k km palang tinakbo puro city stop and go driving. Kaya dinala ko sa Manila para ma break in sa SLEX/NLEX at sa Tagaytay/Baguio.
Although, as I mentioned earlier may mga ibang Terra owner experiencing the same problem.

Thanks.
