I saw already one on the road along UN and Quirino Avenue extension, it looks GREAT, honestly. Looking forward to replace my Ranger with this one after 2 more years, no regrets with my Ranger, I had it for almost 3 years already.

Was able to check out the 4x4 VL and 4x2 EL AT variants. Looks really great in the flesh and is way better than the previous model. I initially thought the 4x2 EL AT was the best value for money but after seeing both units, I think the 4x4 VL AT is the bang for the buck model.

The 4x2 EL loses all the electronic tech features along with the 4x4 capability and higher torque/HP. I maybe wouldn't mind that so much but here are some other features of the 4x2 EL AT that I did not like, or was not willing to settle for.

    1. 16" wheels - the 18" rollers on the 4x4 version was way better to look at. It may cost in excess of 100k to replace this with 20" aftermarket wheels. I've "heard" the PCD of Nissan's tires have fewer aftermarket options.

    2. Regular 2-Din Head Unit - I wanted a HU with GPS and rear view camera. It might cost 40k+ to get this replaced with a better one. The stock HU of the 4x4 VL isn't really great, with a small 5" monitor, but at least it already has GPS and rear view camera. I can live with this.

    3. Multi-reflector halogen HL - I was disappointed that the 4x2 EL AT was not equipped with the LED projectors and LED DRLs. Nothing against the halogens but projector headlamps, especially LEDs have a way of spoiling you and giving you more confidence at night. This cost a fortune to upgrade, and the thought of voiding warranties does not sound reassuring.

Other than that, it is basically the same specs for both models. I probably would spend slightly less to upgrade these 3 things but didn't want the headache of going that route. I would settle for the 4x2 EL AT if it is going to be a secondary vehicle, but might get the 4x4 VL AT since I intend to make it my primary ride.

Test drives start Feb 21, as informed by the SA.

Cost of maintenance seems to be a good selling point too.

repost ko lang baka may maka basa.

Im planning to sell my 16yr old hilux sr5 and getting this np300. May mga question lang hope u can help me decide.

Wala ba issues sa np300 maliban sa steering?

Na fix naba nila yung steering?

Hindi ba maselan sa oil? Wala kasi ako time pumila sa casa.

may issue ba sa timing chain ng engine? ilan kms bago palitan timing chain?

Yung binigay sakin discounted price ng calibre mt is 1,002,000. May alam ba kayo casa mas mura. Baka kunin ko ng cash?

Kaya ba ng engine umabot ng 200k kms without any problem? Yung hilux sr5 ko kasi 250k kms di pa na open engine.

    Thanks

sorry for posting it here as per the forum rules i had to post !
I've recently starting towing a 3,000lb. camper trailer (400lb. tongue weight) with my R51 Pathfinder (V6, 2WD). My fist orders of business are mirror extensions and a trailer brake controller / 7-pin wiring harness installation.

Are there any other suggestions for critical upgrades I should be thinking of?

Most of my initial towing will be in fairly flat areas of the Southeast US, but I'd like to eventually do some towing / camping in the Appalachian and Rocky mountains.

Oh, and the camper trailer already has a weight distribution hitch and friction anti-sway bar installed.

    Thanks for any suggestions!
