hi, have you guys experienced this sound from the steering wheel? like grinding or scratching sound...
https://youtu.be/3RWOvzB2kMg
I will check that but I think I hear some faint noises during hard steering. It doesn't happen all the time so I thought it's just normal.
There is one thing that I sometimes hear, it's between the door and the aircon vent on the driver's side. There is like a vibration noise when driving fast. I looked at the door panel and I noticed there is a space between the panel and the door. Maybe the air is vibrating the panel during high speeds?

I have some noise that's hard to describe too, probably something in the dash or sidings like you guys say. Like a low pitched squeak. There's also this weird noise that sounds creaky on the head unit at startup..
yup. happened to our unit back in july 2015. brought it back to Nissan Q.A. they replaced a part behind the horn pad. sorry i don't recall the exact part. glad it was still under warranty. though the unit has to stay for a day since they have to await the part from the plant.
is it true that Nissan is recalling units of Nissan Rogue due to faulty fuel pump?
share lang po.
for T32 owners tired of closing the vents when shutting off aircon, finally found the motor for the vents, disconnected the harness and now its not going to re-open automatically. 😊
before doing this be sure to switch it to recirculate mode (vents closed)
number 7 on the diagram
recirculate vent motor
Interesting....wonder kung pede sa Juke?

di ko lang sure.. pero try mo tingnan yung dame location baka nandun din..
Good PM Gents,
I was wondering about the portion behind the rearview mirror of the Xtrail (yung parang polka dots sa windshield - see attached photo). Any opinions about this? And if you can share na rin kung paano ninyo kinabit yung mga RFID sa windshield para gumana (nagputol ba kayo ng maliit na window sa tint?) I would really appreciate it. Nag search na ako sa forums, wala masaydong info tungkol dito. Salamat.
PS. Yung RFID sa SLEX pinakabit ko sa headlight ok naman so far. Yung sa NLEX kasi wala pa ata sila ganun option.
Please help!
X-Trail 2.0 or CX-5 MAXX?
Major concerns for me are:
- Fuel Consumption (mostly city driving)
- Off-road performance (1-2x/year provincial travels)
- After sales service and parts availability (and its price)
Thanks!
CUV hunting??? We were in the same situation about 2 months ago. We opted for the Forester.
- The CX5 has an edge in fuel efficiency due to its SkyActiv technology. Don't expect subcompact (1.5L or less engine displacements) fuel efficiency though when talking about CUVs.
- These 2 are city dwellers or "soft-roaders". They are still better compared to cars on unpaved roads though. There are better off-roaders available.
- Mazda has the Yojin3 promo which offers free maintenance for the first 3 years of service. No idea how much it cost to maintain SkyActiv vehicles after the Yojin3 promo expires. Check with Nissan on the PMS schedule and expected cost for the next 3 years when opting for the Xtrail
Other options:
Ford Escape 1.6L SE (Ecoboost) - heavily discounted, offered now at 1.06M to 1.09M, higher power/torque output due to turbo engine
Subaru Forester - base 2.0L model more expensive than Xtrail 2.0 and CX5 Maxx, SRP of 1.448M (discounts offered by dealer), very capable AWD system, acceptable fuel efficiency for engine/tranny combo, big cargo space
No idea about the Honda CRV and Toyota RAV4 but you do know it carries the heritage of the more trusted brands by Pinoys.
The Korean twins (Tucson and Sportage) offer diesel engine options at a premium price. Their new design is a hit or miss with buyers though.

*supersonic - are you open to PPVs with diesel engines? The Isuzu MU-X 3.0L 4x2 AT model is offered at around 1.4M, same goes with the Montero Sport 2.4L 4x2 AT (with discounts). They are better off-roaders and frugal on fuel expense (turbo diesel engines) but the ride is bumpier (matagtag) compared to something more carlike with the CUVs.
If you want good handling, CX-5 wins.
If you want more space and comfort, X-trail wins.
FC for both are relatively the same. My 4x4 Xtrail surprisingly gets an ave. of 6.2km/L with Shell Nitro Racing. I get lower FC with fuelsave and Nitro with only 5.6km/L or 5.9km/L. The 2L variant will get more FC since it's a newer engine with direct injection. The 2.5L is just a revised engine from the previous Xtrails.
almost same size po sa sorento/santa fe ang xtrail. very roomy and comfortable.
no difference between 2015 and 2016. but there already is a 2017 model abroad with new front design.
Thanks. Initially I was wait and see how the 2017 would look like. When it came out... Sige 2016 na lang kunin ko Haha. But the 2017 has better looking steering wheels and probably will have larger stock infotainment screen. But might be more expensive.
