i wonder why iba-iba ang presyo ng pa-leather seats. this nissan alabang needs to be careful else sa iba pupunta ang xtrail customers, if hindi pa nangyayari yon.

maybe they are refering to "different kinds of leather"..
there's leather from cows,, and there's genuine faux leather from the petroleum industry. the difference runs to about 45K..
among faux leather, the types are many and their prices differ..
Mahal ng leather seats nila! Will ask other upholsterers (leder interia or leather one) magkano. Wala naman electricals na magagalaw para mag void warranty.
Favor naman sa mga naka 4x2. Can you please take a picture of the MID showing a song track or station ID? Asking Lamson to verify if changing the head unit (to a touchscreen OEM or plug and play head unit) will not affect the stereo info seen on the MID. Thanks in advance!
Was in Nissan Shaw yesterday. Leather is softer than the Casa made one. Only problem is some clips were loose already. Inquired outside Casa (budgeting [emoji4]) and Leder Interia quoted 40.5k for full leather, 32k for combo leather and leatherette. 2k for steering wheel. Side note - weathertech digital cut deep dish mats are on stock already. Inquired sa fb page nila but have to call them for pricing.
That's good! If ever I would choose that leather material anytime. Is that a full leather or combo leather? The one who knows the price is at Chevrolet showroom because the accessories dept is over there. But this is not an excuse for agents not to know the price of accessories. My cousin also paid P40k for his Forester leather seats near banawe so I think it is a reasonable price.
Since my plate came out last week, been taking the X-Trail around. I just arrived from its first long drive, an overnight stay at Puntafuego in Nasugbu, Batangas.
My driving impressions:
Pros:
1. The ride was real comfortable. Those zero-gravity seats are not a gimmick. It provided me with firm support, but it also felt like memory foam, the way it just cardled my body during the 2 1/2 hour drive to Nasugbu. My passengers were also quite comfortable, the famous Nissan aircon working well to keep the summer heat out.
2. Engine has good amount if zip. We went up fully loaded, 4 adults, 2 kids, & a trunk full of bags. The X-Trail had no problems overtaking slower cars on uphill climbs.
3. Fuel Economy. My 1 full tank lasted for 403KM, with 47km of range left. Of the 403km, half was driving in typical Makati traffic, which means standstills. The other half was spirited driving to Nasugbu from Makati. I did not do a fuel economy run, more concerned about testing the engine's pulling strength than saving gas. Overall, I managed 7 km/ liter, which is pretty decent given the combination of heavy traffic and high speed highway driving while fully loaded down.
4. Auto 4x4 mode. This is my first 4x4, so forgive me if I am impressed with how sure the tire grips are even when driving up Puntafuego's hilly terrain in the rain. There is a confidence in the way the X-Trail tackles the wet road, & I like how the MID tells you how much power is given to the rear wheels.
5. Around View Monitor. I love this feature, it helps me with parking. The accuracy is amazing, & the fact that it can be left on as long as speed is below 10kph is a plus.
6. Handling. Despite being fully loaded down, the X-Trail was nimble on its feet. Maneuvering in and out of slow tricycles on provincial roads are quite easy to do.
Now, some Cons:
1. The CVT lag takes some getting use to. This is my first CVT, & I get frustrated with the acceleration lag from standstill. They said that the X-Trail's CVT is one of the best out there, but it still lacks forward oomph compared to conventional AT.
2. Super Light Steering. I'm still having a hard time adjusting to the overboosted steering, since I prefer some weight and feedback when I drive.
3. Piano-black finish of the center console is a dust magnet. Not good for an OC person like me when it comes to car cleanliness.
4. Weak headlight output. I'm coming from HIDs, so reverting back to halogens (even if the bulbs are replaced with Nightbreakers) is quite tough. I'm keen to replace the lights to HIDs, but am not sure if the stock housing can project HIDs well, like those on the Subaru Forester.
Overall, I love the car. If you can spring for the extra 200k, get the 4x4. The engine output, 4x4 capability, & the Around View cameras are enough to justify the price difference of the 4x4. Mileage rrading is now 850km, so in a few days it would go in for the first 1k checkup. Fuel economy & performance figures should improve once the car is broken in. Break in period is 1,600km (1,000miles) and its best to keep revs below 4000 during this time (according to manual).
Hope you like my mini review.
Nice review sir!
Question for all current owners, what is the low and high beam headlight bulb of the xtrail?
Anybody here nagpakabit ng fogs sa 4x2 kay Lamson? Thanks!
Another nice review MrGunn. Hope to get our 4x2 this week. Waiting for casa installed back up sensors.
Got a 4x2 myself 2 weeks ago.
Stalk switch ba yung fogs kay Lamson? I know the lamps themselves are original, Valeo units, pero last I heard from one of the posters on this thread na dash switch siya.
BTW take note na may OEM backup sensors and meron din aftermarket. Yung aftermarket yung galing sa accessories section ng dealership...whereas if you want to get the OEM ones (which IIRC costs around 7K+), kelangan mong kunin sa parts section yun.
My planned mods for my 4x2 are:
1. Android HU
2. Backup cam
3. OEM fogs
4. 3M Crystalline tint (now running tintless...swanget kasi ng freebie tint ng dealership. It was a choice of either 3M's FX-ST or Titanium)
Thanks irmscher.
Dash switch yung kay Lamson. Searched everywhere for the stalk switch (eBay and aliexpress or Amazon) wala. It's a lot easier to look for parts for a Kia Sportage than the T32. Will get the fogs pa din then maybe when the stalks are available, saka ko na lang palitan.
The back up sensors are OEM. Reason why unit can't be released as they are waiting for a set from the plant. It costs 7500. Agent told me she had one buyer that had the 3500 back up sensor installed. Messed the electronics and affected the radio. Sobrang sensitive naman electronics ng T32.
Nissan Ortigas uses VKool but I want it clear. Mahal! 40k yung VKool clear. if I had that much I'd spend it on leather seats na lang. Had them deduct the cost of the tint na lang. Getting SolarGard clear. Cost is 7800 (dami ko ng na canvass kahit wala pa yung unit. Hehehe). Have the same installed on our Sportage. Ok naman. How much is 3M Crystalline?
Lamson is testing an Android unit. Makulit na ako sa sobrang daming tanong. Will post once he gets feedback from their supplier. I also looked at the wiring harness and dash kit of Metra (via Amazon) in case I get a pioneer head unit. Another option is keep the orig head unit and get a rear view mirror with 4.3" LCD with a front and rear view camera, auto dimming. Kaya lang kasing price na ng pioneer headunit na AVH-5700 something. The rear view mirror slides into the existing mounting.
Having Lamson parcel the items to me. Fogs and rain visors. Installing Bosch Europas (that I removed from a vehicle we are selling to get the xty). Getting Euroline yellow bulbs for the fogs and maybe Alva LED bulbs for the headlights.
Also thinking of getting Husky liners and the back up camera from Amazon. Makikiusap lang muna ako sa kapatid ko na isingit sa door to door. Weathertech is too expensive. Husky would cost 7k+. Weathertech costs around 12-14 through the local distributor. The deep dish mats of Lamson and other sellers are too smooth for me. Mas gusto ko yung rubber ng Husky or Weathertech.
Please post your mods pag meron na. Thanks!
sir blooperoo would you know the bulb types of the xtrail headlight and fogs?
Found this just now:
NEW OEM Indicator/Flasher Lamp Stalk Switch for Nissan NV200 X TRAIL TIIDA SYLPHY QASHQAI LIVINA ROGUE 2002 2015 25540EM04E -in Switches from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group
Dapat meron ang Casa nito kung pareho lang ng sa Livina.
Casa can get these parts for you naman kaso sobrang taas ng markup nila. Also AFAIK combination switch ang kelangan palitan sa 2014 Rogue/X-trail.
See here: 2014 2015 Nissan Rogue Front Bumper Fog Light Lamps Bezel Kit New Genuine | eBay
Now what I don't know is, from the link above, the headlight switch has the auto setting, which our 4x2 X-trail doesn't have. As such not sure if it'll work. Would be pretty cool if we could gain the auto headlight setting just by installing this combination switch.

Will know when I get the unit later. Waiting for Nissan to finish installing the back up sensors. Will know fog bulb type when my order from Lamson arrives. Will post.
My Android head unit from Aliexpress has arrived, and came free with a reverse camera and an OBD2 bluetooth transmitter which would allow me to run an OBD2 monitoring app like Torque and see key stats in real time. Since I ordered a reverse camera before I ordered the head unit, I now have two reverse cameras. If anyone is looking to get one, please PM me. Wala pa akong nakikita locally na fit sa OEM plate lamp ng Xtrail.
