14 km/L is pretty good for a new car on highway driving. Same with 7.2 km/L for low-speed city driving.
The CVT seems to be a good match to the 1.6 engine. Mas matipid talaga pag CVT.

yup. i actually was pleasantly surprised. because for the same route with our 2008 honda city i dsi cvt with either 91/97 ron, i get 14 to 15km/l.
but i will use premium to avoid uphill shift shudders on the cvt.
just had the flywheel replaced on the honda at 60t kms. if i can avoid it on this cvt, i will. ü
Nice FC, mine is around 13km / liter on the computer during my trip to pangasinan via nlex, sctex and tplex. But sadly, as days go by here in city traffic, it is already around 10.2 km/liter. I think I will try to shift to petron xcs, I started using my petron bpi again to get rebates and free pepsi.I also noticed before at nlex, my speed is around 100km/h but the rpm is just around 1,600. It is quite good if I compare it to my accent crdi, at 100kph it is already in 2,000 rpm. (although the accent is much cheaper on the wallet when you visit the gas station)
Late post, my average fuel consumption going to tagaytay last July 6. Very very satisfied with my 1.8 sylphy.

Have you tried to verify manually to compute? Curious din kasi ako how the 1.8 fares. =)
Sa akin kasi after the whole trip MNL - Tagaytay - MNL, the reading was 16.2km/l but the actual FC after manual compute and autostop full tank method is 14.6km/l. 90% accurate pa yung sa kotse because I guess break in pa ako. Previous reading ko was 88% accurate naman all city 8.2 sabi ng computer ng kotse, 7.2 actual.
No i did not, i just relied on the computer reading. I guess it would be at 13km/l because of the traffic in tagaytay-sta rosa road.

Its always white for me, its says in the manual that once the color changes or fades it is a sign to change the light. since your sylphy is new, its better to inform the casa or tell them on your next PMS.
Wow ang bilis nmn nun., nag fade agad? Okay salamat

HID bulbs doesn't color shift to yellow.
They start yellowish (for 4300K, usual color temp ng nakakabit sa Stock HL) then color shifts toward the higher kelvin range while at the same time losing lumens.
So nagiging bluish or pinkish depending on brand. Newer bulbs tends to maintain color temp longer but still lose lumens.
During start up, pagka-on ng ilaw, nagbabago pa ang kulay at intensity.
OEM ballasts usually has fast start up time so after around 20 sec full brightness na yun at yun na yung tamang kulay ng ilaw.
Kung gusto nyo ng whiter color, change bulb to 5000K - 600K range, like Osram Xenarc 66240 CBI, Philips Ultinon 85122XV or 85122 WX.
Basta wag ng lalagpas sa 6000K color, masyado ng bluish above it and mas mababa ang lumens ng bulb the higher the color temp.
Just to update fuel consumption 1.6 CVT
Fuel: Seaoil Extreme 97 Unleaded
average speed throughout: 15kmph
Computer estimated FC = 8.9km/l
Actual manually computed FC: 8.1km/l
Accuracy of computer readout: 91%
Will be having my 1k PMS this week, hope that improves the FC accuracy a bit. But that traffic is really tanking my FC during weekdays. It really can't be helped.
