makikisingit lang...what will happen if you convert your offroad bike to a motard? not a rider here but would just want to know.

Its just like putting slick tires on your mountain bike, it will be more road friendly and smoother to ride.

    Estimate cost conversion of a XR200 to motard = P 30T

    sir jas,

ok mga mods mo ah . . .

i was a motorcross addict once, pero lumipas din

naka bisita ka na sa YRS? so motard na pala look gusto mo. . . siguro recommmendation lang naman . . . if you need more speed, change the rear sprocket to a smaller one, if you need more torque (needed for the jumps) use a larger one. also the same goes to the chain

also, yung swing arm ng xlr mo medyo manipis, may available yata na mas sturdier.

also, wag natin alisin ang side mirrors, may mga slick mirrors na available sa iyong suking motorshop.

WAG KALIMUTAN . . . . ang safety equipment . . . invest in a good helmet etc . . . costly, but it can save your life. sa sobrang addict ko noon may toolbag pa ako w/ t-wrenches sa waist with matching gloves. Lahat ng shirts ko pang motocross he he he . . .

    stay safe bro . . .

    just my .02 cents

ah ok...thanks. kaya pala offroad bikes, well those use for competition are often loaded on a pickup. Somewhat the same as an 4x4 for competition being towed to the track. street tires more rubber on the road, more grip. mud tires less rubber contact kasi on road, therefore much dangerous when the pavement is wet. thanks for the info.

jasprit, parang type ko yung black paint with silver/gray and white trimmings parang yung pinost mo na pic ng XR. kung silver yung rims mo. maganda rin yung black rims kung red naman ang paint mo.

jasprit, isa din akong baliw pagdating sa motor, infact para ma satisfied yong hilig ko i even bought a racing machine yz250 2 stroke. i see your interest of turning your bike into a motox or motard, well for me i prefer the motox. anyway sa gulong lang naman sila nagkakaiba, sa nakita ko sa motor mo, forgive me pero yong fender mo sa likod ay mali pagka lagay(personally for the xlr i prefer the fender of xr 250, yong nasa red xlr picture na pinakita mo), dapat level lang siya sa seat mo and at di ganyang nakaharap sa langit. change rims into black, change your seat cover with black sa sides then red on the top(pagawa mo), change your rubber boots into black as well.another thing is yong pipe mo medyo di rin level sa seat mo, yan pag nagawa mo bro i guarantee you gaganda yan.

i have been curious about motards also. I just recently bought a bike. Its a '97 TTR 250 four stroke, came with digital indiglo speedometer. I have on the bike Takasago Excel 17" Rims, 3.50 fronts and 4.50 rears. i have on 150/70 on the rear and 110/80 on the front. changed my rear fender put on LED tail lights. Changed to keihin carb. havent done anything else yet. want a paint job soon. it costs a lot to convert a dirt/enduro into a motard but the ride is great. very different from a dirt due to the smaller size rims and wider street tires. heres a photo

offroad to motard how?????
