This took awhile but its good to see these legislators are working to protect the people.
So many deaths and vehicular accidents because of these almost unmarked motorcycles.

That's good to know, bro....

i think the additional front plate and the bigger plate numbers to be issued to motorcyclists is a good idea.
now those motorcycle riders just have to wait 59 years for the plate numbers to be handed over to them by the lto

July 26th, 2017 02:38 PM #6well your motorcycle assassin is by definition a criminal. doesn't give a d*mn about LAWS and other such things
meanwhile the law-abiding MC riders are burdened w/ the larger plates while criminals just have a laugh, knowing that this is just another stupid law that isn't gonna stop themit's just a simple u-turn right before the checkpoint

‘Doble plaka’ law revised: Single motorcycle plate, no RFID needed | Inquirer
Sen. JV Ejercito outlined the key points of the reconciled Senate Bill No. 2555 and House Bill No. 11113 amending Republic Act No. 11235, also known as the Motorcycle Crime Prevention Act.
“Actually, the main provision is that the ‘doble plaka’ will now be reduced to just one plate because we currently have a backlog of about 9 million plates. It’s better for all motorcycles to at least have one plate rather than requiring two and failing to provide them.Ejercito also explained that the panel agreed to remove the provision requiring motorcycles to have RFID stickers in front, along with other related provisions referencing the RFID requirement.
“According to the LTO, they are encountering problems, which are causing further delays. Our intention is to address the backlog,” Ejercito explained when he was asked why the provision on RFID was deleted.
