House bill banning motorcycles

Banning MC's from major thoroughfares is a stupid idea! Marcelino teodoro surely never analyzed his petition thoroughly... more like a one sided observation! Genius is'nt he?

imho, in a daily basis.. i see more accidents induced ny jeepney, bus and tricycle drivers!

I've been riding my GS 850G on Southern California freeways since 1981 and have only seen one motorcyclist crash and that was due to his front flat tire. That's not to say I haven't seen any stupid motorcyclists here, but we've never had a lawmaker try to ban motorcycles from the freeways.

I've read all the replies to this thread and it seems to me that you have a lot of lousy motorcycle riders there, and an equal, if not greater number of terrible cage drivers.

When my wife and I move there by the end of 2010, I plan on buying a big motorcycle since I've read the taxes to import mine would be prohibitive, but I don't think I want to ride or live around Manila after reading the replies here...some of you want to see motorcyclists DIE! So please advise me on the best area to live for enjoyable and relaxed motorcycling; Cavite, or La Union? I do like to ride fast, but I don't want to have an angry cage driver trying to kill me!

Ang problem kasi sa motorcycle drivers hindi sumusunod sa traffic rules. Stop na go-go pa rin. 2 lane highway gagawing apat. Overtake sa shoulders. Sisingit kahit gitgit na.. Kapag naguhitan ung car, tatakbuhan ka.

ako 3week old palang mazda 3ko naguhitan na ng pesteng naka motor while stuck sa J Vargas traffic..pag baba ko siempre tinakbuhan na ako..
kung me dala lang siguro ako bazooka baka bina zooka ko na e...

i mean dati din ako nagmomotor (i use the same handle sa motorcyclephilippines.com) pero matino ako magdala ng scooter.

pag stop ang nasa harap ko stop din ako...ang daming balasubas na nagmomotor ngayon...wag sila i ban...di yan ang sagot kaya lang maging strict sa kanila gaya sa mga cagers..

bawal mag pa suray suray sa kalsada. nasa gitna dapat sila etc..at pag nahuli impound ang penalty..kase ang motor mura lang pero kung panay impound mangyayari sigurado ako aaray din ang mga yan

I agree. Kung i ban natin sila at bumili ng kotse kahit 1/3 lang ng lahat ng nagmomotor patay na tayong lahat sa traffic. Hulihin at i penalize na lang lahat ng reckless drivers, motorcycle o hindi. Kung kasing strict sa paghuli ng mga violations sa US ang mga enforcers natin palagay ko wala tayong problema. Nakakainis lang yun sa simula pero pag nasanay na tayo sa strict implementations ng rules we wouldn't have it any other way.

If Cavite or La Union are your only choices then I suggest La Union.

I am a daily witness of undisciplined motorcyclists, especially the delivery motorcycles, who race, weave, squeeze between vehicles, and cut lanes. The number of motorcycles plying the metropolis has already increased and so are the undisciplined drivers. Consequently, the number motorcycle related accidents has risen too. Some lawless elements use motorcycles in their trades.


I am for the approval of the bill.
