Now that the cheaper-by-1/3 Innova is around, how else can the new Mitsubishi minivan gain sales? Yes, it looks better inside out, has more comfort and a better ride, and slightly better performance from an additional 400cc, but is the P500K additional price justifiable? MIVEC? Innova has VVTi (and even D4-D). INVECS-II? The Toyota also has manual override.
It's a shame that the space-age-looking Space Wagon replacement will not attract that much buyers because of this new trend catered by Toyota's IMVs. The Fortuner also costs just the same as the Grandis but is obviously more capable.

I don't think that the Grandis is competing with any of the IMV line-up of Toyota.

May 16th, 2005 10:28 AM #7If the grandis wants to break out of being compared to the innova, mitsu should make the interior more luxurious like adding DVD player and monitors, high end stereo with more speakers, sunroof, etc
