    I guess you'll be better off with a 4D56 turbo as it's the one made and fit for the L300 directly. The Nissan TD27, although its a much better engine for me in basic form against the 4d56, might need rework to fit your L300.

    +100, although TS tandaan mo na mainit lalo sa makina ang turbo ha, kung same spec na radiator ka pa rin, baka kulangin cooling power mo. Less airflow din kapag L300 VV vs a strada or pajero na 4d56 turbo kaya kasama din sa sa consideration ha. Dapat alam ng mekaniko mo yan.

    Quikc fix if gusto mo talaga ng may turbo ay;
    a. make sure cooling system is in peak condition and use 50/50 coolant distilled water ratio.
    b. install an oil catch can (search ka na lang dito or sa net kung ano yan)
    c. if you can install a separate oil cooler then it would be really good for your engine.
    d. Make sure to use only a CH-4 and up rated diesel multigrade engine oil for your engine and turbo's protection. A good oil filter like bosch, baldwin, fleetguard should also be used instead of vic, nippon, union japan etc. Stay away from daiwa filters. Search for remote bypass filtration here in tsikot for more knowledge.

    4D56 is plug-n-play, I've even already seen some turbocharged L300 vans, but I'm still more favorable to the TD27. Its fitment is not so tighter at all, and it's more reliable. One feature I like is the chain-driven OHV valvetrain, which requires less maintenance.

    Pwede bolt-on lang? Walang papalitan sa loob ng engine?

    dinala ko na sa talyer. di ako nag papalit ng engine. Ipapalis ko muna lahat at kundisyon. tignan ko kung anong magiging resulta. 70k+ ang turbo engine.

    We have L200 changed engine with 4d56t w/o intercooler, share ko lang ang nagiging problem:
    1. Cooling - di uubra ang stock radiator lalo pag natraffic kaw, lalo na kulob ang versa van
    2. Lalakas sa diesel - for obvious reason more power = more diesel consumption pero may shops na kayang patipirin ito.
    3. Braking power - di kayanin ng stock, madaling iinit ang brake.

    Overall malaki nagastos para ma solve mga problem na na encounter. Kahit pug and play ang engine may extra ka padin mabayaran na unexpected.
    Unless may katok na engine mo stay with you current engine nalang IMHO

    You can also add 2t oil to your diesel. Better performance and less smoke.

    2t oil? Ngayun ko lang narinig ito. Kadalasan ginagawa ito sa 2 stroke na motor pero not in a diesel engine.
