Paano naging cause ng turbo failure yung air filter?

Sa kia carnival ko dati nangyayari din yan pag di napalitan or nabugahan ng compressed air yung filter pero di naman nasira turbo nun

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that does not look like an orig Montero filter.

Original filters have a coarse padding (looks and feels like Scotch-brite) which is installed prior to the paper filter. And the filter media reinforcement is made of plastic(?).

I can take a picture of mine here, unless the Strada's air filter is not the same as a Montero's.

always dry your filter after washing. then inspect before installing.

most automotive air filters are not washable. look at the pictures alone. the filter media collapsed because it was washed. no ribbing or mesh whatsoever to support an after wash.

this is what happens when idiots save on air filters, "maling akala" is too costly.

Para maging ganyan yan.. it means pinasok ng water yan...

Nasisira talaga ang turbo pag restricted ang air flow.... nasisira ang seal...

Broken Air filter blocked the air opening going to the turbo intake side. Impeller forced to move forward hitting the housing. btw Fyi, 4n15 monty/strada has a stock boost of 25Psi. Which normally carnival and other diesel engines have 16-18psi ONLY

Thanks for the explanation sir Zix. Daming speculations regarding bakit nasira at di nadala sa casa though under warranty pa yung unit.

    Saw your fb post.
Owner said his unit is 10 months old and already has 54k kms on it already! Grab yata sya sa buong luzon.[emoji16]
Does he do regular pms? I presume his filter is still the original factory one and never replaced it

interesting psi info.. is this 25psi at peak power only though? hmmm could this be the reason for the "low" oil issue?
