Bogeyman sa thu. ko pa mapapatignan sa casa sasabay ko na lang sa release ng plaka ko! oo nga bagong bago tapos meh leak agad aircon ko pero sana minor lang yun! yup nag 100kph ako 900km palang tinatakbo pero normal ko kapag papunta quezon 65-80kph. 1040km na natatakbo ko as of now.

ano ba dapat max speed ko kapag 1040km palang natatakbo ko?? kasi sabi sakin sa ct motors makati oks lang kahit gang 100kph eh! di kaya nakasama sa piston or makina ko yun???

Yes I remember it back then, the most that I got was 140 sa skyway naubusan na ng road, pero kaya pa, mods back then were K&N, headers, free flow muffler. Aircon was off. Sorry no tach so can't tell what's the reading. Pero one thing is certain, mas mabilis talaga yung Adventure ni Dieseler, HINDI KO MAABUTAN. so come to think of it I was already doing 140 God knows how fast was you were going back then.

Pero now I've converted to the DARK SIDE, iba talaga ang gaso, 2.4 iVtec, 100 mph (160kph) may ibubuga pa, sarap pa sa acceleration.

4D56 back then all I can say is that it can hold its own when compared to other AUV's powerplant during its time. Sa ngayon with all the CRDi, D4D engines we have in the Phil, sad to say mahina na ang 4D56.

Pero sa reliability, wala akong masabi 3 yrs walang problemang ibinigay yung Adventure sa akin, kahit sa baha nilulusong ko yun never akong itinirik, it gave a very very excellent service to me ang my family.

Ahh those were the days... super bago pa ang Skyway nun and walang kotong cops with speed detectors tapos free pa ang skyway nun diba? hehehe... pero bilib ako sa setup ni Rediesel, ang porma talaga ng Adv. niya.

Speaking of speed, yesterday I was driving back from Batangas, when I tried to overtake this Hilander (yung bago, but with regular tires). Aba ayaw ako pa-overtake. The first time I tried, binilisan niya yung takbo, tuloy I had to back down kasi may kasalubong. The second time, there he went again, patingin tingin pa sa Adventure ko, kala ng loko di ko ma overtake yung Hilander niya. Well, I was doing around 100kph sa 4th gear (lampas 3.5 I think yung Taco, I was looking straight kaya di ko sure). Mga 110 na I was able to pass the moron. I think he was in 5th gear at pareho kaming may passengers.

Tapos I slowed down daring the mokong to try to overtake me, eh ayan duwag pala. Gago talaga yung mga ganung drivers.

Kala siguro nya masmabilis ang Hilander niya. As a lot of people keep saying, mahina daw ang 4D56 compared to the Isuzu engine. Well in this case, they are wrong.

hmmmm... makes me wonder... kasi mineral oil pa rin gamit ko ngayon (25000Km old na si Seth, 1.5 years old)... already using biodiesel... 120kph is my top speed ~3500rpm... improve kaya iyon kapag nag-switch ako sa synthetic?

It's possible. The thing that I'm sure of is that when running at high speeds, the engine heats up considerably, and also creates a lot more friction. So using a good quality oil such as synths will definintely help the engine run cooler, as well as lubricate it properly, esp. during high speed runs. Oh, also, in my experience, di pa nababawasan ang synth oil ko, like yung nasusunog ang oil.

My diesel adventure could only do approx 3800rpm * 135kph. This I did on SLEX yesterday from Magallanes-bicutan. 100-135kph took a looong time. Hirap na hirap na and naka smoke screen mode na yung 4D56. Hindi ko na nakunan pics kc had to break..

If you could manage to drive it to its 4.5k rpm limit(engine is rated only at up to 4k rpm), theoretically your speed would be approx 155kph. But this im sure, my adventure can't handle 170kph.

sir subukan mo mas mabilis kesa 80 and you will see the performance of your adventure, worth ang ibinili mo. mas mawawala ang tagtag nya on that speed.
mas mabagal mas mararamdaman mo ang tagtag pero mas mabilis mas makikita mo ang performance pati ng makina at pati ang tunog nya as in meron kang mapapansing kakaibang power sound.
yan din sabi sa akin nung bilhin ko ang adventure kelangan minsan ibigay natin ang speed na kaya ng sasakyan para hindi mamihasa sa mabagal. at para matanggal ang mga maruming latak na likha ng diesel.
