Top Speed For Your Adventure

170 kph around 4 years ago, along that North Expressway viaduct papuntang Angeles. Ride is an Adventure Sport 2.5 Diesel. Almost na redline na ang taco (kakatakot - engine sounds like its going to explode), took forever to get to that speed though.

I did that around 2x I think. After that yoko na nakakatakot talaga. Wish I had a cameraphone back then.

Buti it did not happen, kaya I won't even think of doing it again, now na medyo middle aged na yung ride ko, and 'di na ako 'sing baliw tulad nung dati lolz...

At that time, kakagamit ko lang ng Delvac 1 na synthetic, and nasa 10K++ lang ang odo, kaya siguro I was able to drive it that fast.

BTW, everything is all-stock, no mods whatsoever, even externally. The only thing I changed is the tires, Toyo 195/70/14.

Tama ka dyan, lalo na kapag well-maintained. Goes to show what the old 4D56 is still capable of.

ang gaang siguro ng paa mo... hhehehe kc ako more than 3000rpm ang takbo ko plang 120kph siguro di pa tlga ako sanay gumamit ng diesel engine... and dami kc nag sasabi skin na mahina daw ang makina nf adventure compare to crosswind and revo, based sa horse power but amazingly malakas pla... 170kph kyang kya.

Here's a nice question: eh bakit lahat ng small delivery vans eh L300 na 4D56? Ok naman sila mag carry ng heavy loads. Mahina ba yan? hehehe....

One thing is for sure, the 4D56 is a very reliable engine, and kahit saan ka pumunta may marunong magayos nyan.

My Adventure only reached 135km/h on NLEx with aircon and 5 passengers.. How can I determine when is the best time to shift if my Adventure doesn't have a tachometer? Can you guys give me some tips? hehehe.. Di ko alam kung kelan ako dapat magshift eh, maxing out my engine's performance..

for the 2.0 gas, rpm reading isa at 5000rpm when I hit 165kph. Actually, kaya pa more than 165kph medyo takot lang ako to exceed that kasi baka bumigay yung tires ko dahil sobrang init ng weather at 2pm then.

i hit 150 in slex at 4000rpm and average 120 always whn i travel in the slex its ok to prolong high speeds using 205/70r15 dunlop tires with nitro air so stable pa rin

i have a manual gasoline 05 gls sport ltd... hehe, hit 170kph at nlex a week after i got it
tried to do it again at star tollway pero di cooperative yung hangin, pa-kontra... managed a little above 160kph...

haven't tried it lately, usually 140-150kph na lang. mahal na rin gas

grabe ang tataas naman ng naabot ng speed ng adventure niyo, sakin ang pinakamabilis pa lang 100kph sa slex ayaw ko paabutin ng 120kph kasi kadalasan kasama ko family ko at tsaka hindi naman kami nagmamadali. siguro kung magisa lang ako try ko 120kph pero hanggang dun na lang talaga, kadalasan 80kph lang ako.
