Subic Pajero or Revo

Help me decide on what to get/replacement for my 1994 FX.

I have 500K budget. I'm suppose to get a 2nd hand Toyota VX200J 2002 model last week at 480K, but the seller backout at the last minute.

Sumama tuloy loob ka he he he... kaya nag isip ko why not Subic Pajero (diesel, 5-door)) (btw, pareho lang ba ang pajero, exceed at montero?).

I have a good friend who can help me get a sariwa pajero from Malinta. In short, may contact sya from one of the auction center sa Malinta and promised me that I can get a unit 320-400K. I can request pa nga daw na "palitan ang dapat palitan" bago ilabas ng auction house (ganoon kalakas ang contact nya). Then gastos daw ako ng mga 50-100K for what ever conversion and pampogi points. I'm planning to go on Malinta this coming Thursday, together with my friend's Pajero mechanic from Laguna.

Advise naman ng iba ay mag revo na lang daw ako dahil nga baka magkaproblema ako sa conversion ng Subic Pajero and may cause accident. Mababa rin daw and re-sale value ng Subic Pajero... pero i still believe na ok ang Subic Pajero if i can perfect the conversion.

What should i look at when i go to the auction house? ano bang model ang ok sa pajero na diesel...How much kaya ang aabutiin aside the good conversion, new dashboard and LHD steering?

Pls help... may pros and cons na daw ang Subic pajero, kindly share me the link... still, i welcome your reply here.

Revo! IMHO mas safe pa rin ang orig LHD kesa converted.

sa 500K mo makakakuha ka na ng lokal na 2nd Gen Pajero.

revo ka na lang, or better yet, scout for local pajero. kasya na ata sa budget mo.mahirap na converted. yung tita ng girlfriend ko, kumuha din ng subic ( delica nga lang) andaming naging problema, from the steering, suspension, bati turbo busted. pinaayos nang pinaayos til they finally gave up. bumili na lang ng brand new na crosswind.

no kidding po sir kimpOy? ang mura po ata nila ngayon ah... we used to go there and ranges are from 350-450K... for exceed models... v44 po na ba yan sila? ano po bang auction ka galing?

baka AIA or ung united....magaganda pa dun ang units...pero kung sa subic dun ka sa importers, ang dinadala sa auction kasi un ang pinagpiliian na ng mga dealers...

hehe...Oo nga "needle-in-a-haystack ang class-a", peru mas mura sa Malinta. kaya dapat marunong kang maghanap dun. naalala ko tuloy ang daming tambak na carstereo sa office nila...

peru nakaka bigla din ton'g bagsak presyo ah.. kahit Malinta pa yan, mura na rin... basta v44 exceeds.

Mag local ka bro. Kahit laspag na local mas madali kalikutin kesa sa mukang sariwa na galing subic. Sa 400k may 96-97 ka na local. Hanap ka sa bulletin.

dyan di ako naniniwala....ang sasakyan, ay sasakyan. ang pinaniniwalaan ko lang: masmadali kung may local counterpart, otherwise, HINDI, pero repairable by MIX-AND-MATCH.

and kung kukuha ka lang ng imported, siguraduhin mo masmadaming features than the local...

for example nga: my preference:

jdm gen1 crv vs local gen1 crv...depends, 4 studs lang ang jdm, local natin is 5...kung 2000up, local...otherwise, jdm.

patrol-safari: i can live without the TD42-TURBO, headlight washer and matic... and masmaganda parin ang local!

trooper:subjective, depends, pero kung sana ung 2000up models ay 4x4, un na!

pajero:subjective. gen2, siyempre dun na sa jdm na 2.8L 4m40, may 4d56t... pajero evo, and SWB/j-top pajero.

spacewagon(chariot)->hindi ito the same sa rvr! kung diesel, pwede, dual air and auto aircon pa!....local kung 1.8L efi din lang pipiliin mo....kung 2.0L/2.4/2.0T...

liteace: ride ko, 2c-t..and kaya etong model na eto: parts easy, tambak ang matic sa banawe, pati 2c-te! 4wd, madami na din sa banawe... and compare sa 2wd, masmalalaki pa ang underchassis. ang inaalagaan ko is yun TEMS..i dont want to lose this.

in short, subjective yan. kakompetensiya sa bago? i dont think so. di sila pareho ng level.

pag used rides na, ang makikinabang is not the casa, but ung parts and workshops..so wheres the bad of that.ang planta will still make parts.. so economy wise, balance parin.

and car ownership should be enjoyed, and not ung pag matatapos na ang buwan, mababaliw ka sa pagtatrabho para di rematahin ng bangko ang sasakyan mo..buti kung i-rerefund nila nahuka sayo...

and remember, you're buying buying a used ride..and may "lemons" ang bago-->honda stories dito...

so my vote:

if you want to save a bit sa maintenance, revo ka, ung VX240D!, well, LXV(1.8L, a/t)/VX200(manual kung meron, pero alam ko matic lang,e..) is a good buy.

otherwise, a converted pajero from a dealer(meron sa subic, mga RHDs parin, pag bibilhin mo na tsaka palang nila i-coconvert) is a good buy. gen.2 look nga lang, pero 4m40 kunin mo...

otherwise, local gen 2.5 na up to 1999(para maenjoy mo ang 4wd) ka nalang..

why revo, para makatipid sa maintenance, AUV ang revo, SUV ang pajero.

having owned a mitsu delica 4wd na may pajero underpinnings, i could say na mahal ang parts siyempre ng SUV compared sa AUV.

pero, kitangkita, masmalaki ang parts ng SUV compared sa AUV...kaya kahit mahal ang parts, masasabi mong sulit parin.
