hello is this normal...

kanina ko lang nalaman to; pag nag shift ako ng first gear kahit na bitawan ko ang accelerator pedal ay umaandar pa rin ang pick up ko (note: alalay ang pag bitaw ng clutch then level ang road) hindi ba dapat mamamatay ang engine kahit na anong alalay mo sa pag bitaw sa clutch?

wala akong ginagalaw sa makina ko
3 years na sa akin ito no modifications done i got it bnew and ako lang ang gumagamit nito kaya im sure na wala akong ginalaw.

sa tachometer reading ko when idle and bukas ang a/c ay nasa last line yung needle before reaching number #1 mark sa guage

i checked out my gen 1 pajero ganun din ang reading ng tachometer pero di naman sya nag gaganun

pababaan ko kaya ang idle ko or hayaan ko na?

sa torque ata ng diesel engines yun. ganun din sa strada ng kuya ko. Ithink it's normal. Kahit yung sa hilux namin hindi namamatayan pag binitawan mo clutch di nakaapak sa gas pedal.

It's normal. It's the same experience we have with our Strada, Frontier and Trooper. This observation is peculiar to diesel engined vehicles due to their high torque at low speed.

Noticed that with our Ranger too. I actually experience this also with my Vitara.

That is a common trait of our vehicles because of low gearing. It is actually good so you can keep your foot off the clutch.

Try the same thing on 4 low on a hill and watch your truck climb the hill on idle!

That's just diesel torque at work. Sarap nga kasi kapag traffic isang paa na lang. Hehehe. Yung isa alalay lang sa preno.

lagi ko ginagawa yan pag medyo crawling ang traffic. sayang kasi sa diesel kung aapak ka pa ng accelerator, di mo naman kelangan mag-accelerate.

TAMA!!! low gear high torque. try doing the same thing on a car, mamamatay! hehe

Diesel torque plays a good role, but I think you have to give credit also to the gearbox too. Take my Vitara for example. Its a 1.6liter gasoline engine and I idle only at 800 rpm but yet I can take my foot off the clutch without pressing the accelerator and then see my truck crawl.
