    Port and polishing could be helpful to your top engine parts, pinakikinis nya lahat ng tuppets at yung mga rebaba ng mga parts. Imagine those metal parts running smoothly walang tagas o singaw na di kailangan sa loob ng makina. On the other hand, pag di ganun kaganda ang makinang gagawa ng port and polish, or di ganun kabisaha ang mga gagawa, might as well not do it. Baka mas masira pa ang parts instead of helping it run smoothly. :D

    im sure sa gas engine ok to , but di ko lang sure kung ano effect sa diesel :D

    oo sa gas engine may significant increase in power lots of my officemates had their heads p&p'd but i have reservations if it will have the same effect sa diesel engines.

    I've had my D4BB done, mas tahimik ang makina without the "clitty claking" sounds since then. :D

    With regards dun sa extra power, di ko na kasi nasukat, nagkasabay pag baba ng injection pump ko.

    Then it hit me after having it done, natural sa diesel engines ang maingay. :shock: Now I know if something doesn't sound right in my engine, that's when the overhead needs overhaul. :D

    ungas::: ah ok:D if i decide to go through the overhaul i might have this done. Im thinking of an engine upgrade kasi e :D 4M40?

    hehe.... am taking up mechanical engineering sa ust... sabi ng proff na master ng M.E. nakakasira daw ng kotse ang port and polish and hindi daw totoo ang tipid ng gas... dahil... pinalalakihan raw nito mga daanan ng air... ninipis lang daw bakal at masasayang ang engine... hp gain lang daw... baka tumakaw pa sa gas... and kung ndi raw marunong gumawa... baka mapalaki pa gastos mo... dahil.... magstall paminsan ang engine... sayang lang... hehehe

    AC::: Tama yung prof mo..... assuming that the P&P is done wrong. :D When done well ok naman ito. Pag smooth ang surface, less drag diba? Less drag = higher velocity. Higher velocity = more oxygen molecules. More oxygen, bigger explosion :D BTW, an diyan pa ba si Patrick Go sa USTe? Prof siya ng Electrical Engineering, classmate ko dati. :D

    Back to porting, i have no doubt na lalakas ang engine pag P&P. Kaya lang, pag diesel ang pinag-usapan, di ko na alam ang effect. I think im gonna play it safe and not have this done. And you are correct, kung hindi marunong ang gagawa, tope ang kalalabasan. Nakakatakot nang mag-experiment eh :D

    pajerokid::: 4M40... nice engine, full brute and force of it. :D A bit on the downside, balita ko wala raw engine upgrade ang 4M40. As in no sleeves, no pistons available. split ype kasi ang pagkakabuo "DAW" ng engine block. :?: If you ever think of engine overhaul this might cost you more bucks. (as in change new engine block) :roll:

    ungas::: haay nako.... decisions decisions...... i think im going back to the overhaul. Nice to have yung 4m40 but baka ibenta ko na house ko para lang makabili nito (OA ba :lol: ). Kasi, based on woodfire's experience, hindi lang engine ang papalitan, ang dami pang iba I'll wait for his response on another thread before i do anything. thanks pre!

    ok so wla talagang kasiguruhan pa sa diesel, what if kung palalagyan ko ng headers at powerflow mufflers, aside from downside na mapalag ang makina, natry nyo na ba? effect.

    wala din daw epekto headers sa diesel eh sa pag kakatanda ko very minimal halos wala.....


    pero may nakikita ko NOS kit para sa diesel sa internet :mrgreen:

    i think its not practical to have your diesel engines PnP..

    maybe the best thing to do is to install larger pipes,filter,then boost controler,increase the boost a little bit.

    autoplus in edsa tunes turbo diesel SUV's very well..
