the sneak peak at motion cars says the engine is a 4g18 (tama ba?). so this is different from previous lancers (at last!). we shouldn't judge an engine in horsepower alone. maybe it has plenty of torque to play with at a broader band. remember a 145bhp sr20 can match a 160bhp b16a because it has plentiful of torque.

anyway, is the new lancer engine a GDI engine? it's been long in the tooth and should be introduced na in our shores.

what really caught my surprise is the 6-speed CVT transmission. is mitsubishi leading the way with transmission technology in the market?

looks like it... finally, we're seeing some innovation in the market!

is that a 1.8L engine in the new lancer?

With 110hp, looks like were gonna get an old 1600cc engine. If you really want a lancer, id seriously suggest holding out for a year or two and wait for better equipped models :D my $0.02

tama nga na it looks a bit like pieces of other cars, pero im not sure din kung sino ba talaga ang nauna kasi sa ibang bansa luma na yang model na yan e. that model is mga 2-3 yrs ago na sa taiwan and other parts of asia. Yun nga lang they have a more powerful engine, like sa taiwan 1.8L 4G93 yung engine nila. Dito 1.6L 4G18 nga.

Front grille, wala na tayong magagawa dyan, lahat halos ng manufacturers e naglalabas ng ganong horizontal front grille. D ko type. But then again, cguro dahil lang wala akong pambili. Pag nakabili ako malamang sasabihin ko namang bagay na bagay sa auto.

d bumaba horsepower pag baba ng version. there's more torque and horsepower sa GLS than MX version, konti lang naman. I guess it's with the way the engine is tuned (internals). Yung 4G92 from before, paulit ulit din, pero iba iba power ratings nya d ba.
Sa GLX model naman dahil ba carb sya? Pero you get all power options pa din.

    Sabi sa motioncars:
Orders are now being accepted at all accredited Mitsubishi dealers nationwide. The formal launching event will be on the 29th with sales set to formally begin on the 1st of February.

Is the 2003 lancer GLX (Cedia) already compatible with E10 gasoline? The Mitsu website says that mitsu cars with "gasoline direct injection" engines are not compatible with E10.

Sir, kung cedia na 4g18, ok lng sa e10. Since binili namin yung cedia ko, (2009) e10 na ang nilalagay ko. (e10 unleaded or e10 premium)
