guys just want to have your comments kasi yong mga DIESEL adventure owners some are claiming na umaabot sa 160kph top speed all stock, kung ganun mas mabilis pa pala ito sa strada,.? (talking about strada 2000-2005 models) to think na intercooler turbo ang strada and yet 147kph lang top speed? though some are also claiming kaya 160kph, pero i doubt it, kasi meron kami and the most is 150kph sagad na.kung ganun mas high speed ba ang adventure? thanks.

i drive 03 strada, so far wala pang naka overtake na adventure sakin, ako pa siguro. 75hp imposible sa 160kph, i think thats a misleading comment.

i did 161kph... it's not a BS claim.. try running your Strada faster. my friend did 150plus something in the skyway. His car is a 2001 Strada Turbo 4x4.

i don't think it's a good idea to make hataw that fast yung diesel engine ng adventure. it's designed for low rev torque - useful for pulling out tree stumps and hauling cargo and people. but, i don't own one, so...

but i did used to own a 2.5 TDIC pajero. even that machine wasn't built to run near maximum speed (which is 180KPH lang yata sa speedometer) gawa ng yung redline nasa 6000 rpm lang yata (or less). turbo intercooled pa yun.

i think it's all about the higher center of gravity that makes the revo, adventure, my pajero, even my CRV (sold!) handle quite weirdly at speeds over 130.

Yep, really not recomended. But may i remind you dude that center of gravity comes into play when you are only cornering not in straightline runs like measure for topspeed. I won't even dare corner at more than 100kph using my Adventure.

Btw, at that speed, the Adventure's brakes are dreary, feels fragile, parang lulusot ang pedal. Not confidence inspiring.

There was a claim of 170 kph. It's at the "fastest speed using a diesel vehicle" forum.

There's another claim of 190 kph. This is found at the "is the 2008 alterra any good?"

170kph? at what rpm? i did 161kph at about 4150. it's already pretty damn close to the 4250rpm redline.

ha ha ha impossible dream for a diesel adventure. high speed ba ang tranny mo? high rev engine at low speed tranny ng adventure. di nga makahabol
sa hilander at revo eh. the most it can do is perhaps 120kph sa level ground
and it will not be easy at all. Unless the new adventure has a different engine and displacement?

posible... i did once 140kph on my former 4wd matic 2" lifted delica flat roof with 30x9.5 tires. 4d56-turbo diesel.. pero i dont rely much kasi big tires ko,e...but at those speed a bit of cornering is a big :no.. prone na sa taob..but just to test it, i did it once...ayaw ko na...nakakatakot.

adventure has a lighter body than the strada/even with my former delica.....owners anu say nyu??basti, alam ko naka adventure ka diba??

i beg to disagree. mahina driver nun kung di kaya lumagpas ng 120kph.
