    Good evening.
    Just this afternoon a problem occurred while I am driving my 3 door 2.8 Automtic Pajero (Subic). The engine was still running but it was not moving anymore. Of course the transmission was engaged, then I started reversing it. But still it was not moving. I don't know what happened. I have it towed already. I need some answers. Is there anybody here to help me? Thanks

    try to change your ATF.

    if that doesn't work, have your automatic tranny serviced. maybe it needs a replacement of filters.

    if worse comes to worse, i think you'll need an tranny overhaul.

    kung ganyan, no choice ka, palit or overhaul ka..tatapatin kita, noong sa delica ko, i asked dito sa malapit sa amit magkano pa-overhaul, using all-brand new parts, and it costs 30-45 thousand pesos!up to 1 week down and up time...pero sure na bago ipapalit...

    mayroong iba, gagawin, para makatipid ka daw kuno is overhaul using parts na kinahoy sa ibang used na tranny..ok, mura, pero logiaclly, whats the use di ba? kumatay ka ng isang working tranny, palit mo sa tranny mo, tapos di pa guarantee ng di leak proof yan..

    pero etong mga option na iyon will not guarantee a leak-proof/ 100% working tranny, nabuksan na,e!

    ang cheapest alternative mo is ung palit ka ng working surplus tranny....cost 50-75% less than a overhaul..pero kung sira naibigay nila, papalitan naman nila ng iba..

    para malaman mo kung maganda ang tranny, inspect mo ung bolts, dapat walang signs na binuksan na..kahit isa lang nakita mo may sign na nabuksan na, leave it...dapat din may dala kang dip-stick mo...isuot mo sa lagayan ung dipstick mo, then amoyin mo ung oil, dapat di yan amoy sunog/kahit konti may amoy sunog, ibig sabihin noon may tama na ung tranny, sliding na din... kahit di siya reddish, pero kung inamoy mo dapat may pagka-"sweet&sour" ang amoy ng langis...kasi un talaga ang amoy ng atf!

    then prepare ka siguro ng 5-10 liters of atf of the same specification dapat! try not to skimp on this, as much as posible, wag ung mura..i've learned na kaya pala mura, its good for flushing the old atf, the drain ulit..plus cheap atfs are just refined used atf....kasi eto buhay ng a/t tranny!

    if ever kailagan nga palitan, may maisasagest ako saiyong piyesahan sa may kaliraya st. near banawe: (got my 2c-t 4wd auto tranny there for only 6,500!, and labor cost 4 thou..1/2-3/4 day ang kabit..so dapat bantay mo,ha? pag sila nagkabit, 1 month warranty... and they're the cheapest one i've asked..at aasikasuhin ka nila

    pero iba ang price ng 4M40 tranny, masmahal siguro ng slight..ung 4wd-a/t ng 4d56 cost 12,000 there...magusap nalang about sa labor..

    try to call them first....ask them if they do home service,e.....i think they do,e...

    try cleaning the strainer/filter 1st..

    Baka na ubos ang ATF mo.Pero malamang sira narin yan, kasi kung nagamit mo sya ng kulang ATF malamang may damage narin ang trany mo. Palitan mo nalang ng surplus useless lang overhaul ka. Just like alwayz_yummy said it is cheaper to get a surplus trany and faster to install. Ingatan mo lang TCU mo baka masira din yan kapag di marunong ang
    gagawa. Disconnect 1st your Battery.

    yup, very sensitive yang torque converter....dapat pag sinalpak ung tranny pabalik kasama ung torque converter tapos tsaka lang i-bobolt sa flywheel.unlike sa manual.

    pag inuna ung torque converted, panigurado durog ang gears ng torque converter sa loob...

    nangyari na din yan sa pajero 4m40 namin. pinalitan ng surplus tranny 35k ang kuha namin yun pala ang problema lang natanggal yung ground ng tranny.

    You could have used the 35K for something else but then at least me spare tranny na kayo.

    Good Morning mga good buddies.

    Thanks for the information. Ang problema nga lang hindi ako taga Maynila, taga Davao ako. But anyway, marami akong natotonan sa inyo. Nasa shop na ang pajero ko, kaya lang wala pang feedback ang mekaniko kasi ngayon pa niya tatrabahuin. Sana hindi masyado malaki ang damage. Get in touch lang ako just in case I need some opinions from you guys. Good day!

    kasama ba yung 4x4 shift gears dun sa auto transmission? o mismong transmission lang yun??

    alam ko set na un..mostly,h..

    ung liteace ko, a/t+dual=6500
    ung mga 4wd a/t na nasa kanila, a/t+ung dual..

    mahal din pala ung a/t tranny ng 4wd caravan/teranno/largo(vanette)...20 thou++
