September 19th, 2010 12:18 PM #131most of the 4d56 engine have adjustment sa Injection Pump.
Adventure & L300 , sakal sya at mas matipid due to lighter load.
(You can notice the accelaration)
Sa pajero w/ the same setting,
mas makonsumo at under powered,
dahil sa bigat ng kaha.
My pajero from 4d56 engine Subic, had it calibrated,
sobrang bigay., lakas hatak at konsumo.
Check also the IDLE up system when aircon-compressor kicks in.
Sobrang taas, ma konsumo din. Sobrang baba,
mainit naman aircon sa traffic,
at pag naka DRIVE mode A/T + aircon/compressor,
pumapalag makina, baka masira agad engine support at
magkulang ang karga ng kuryente sa alternator.
Madalas maaga masira battery ko dahil dito.
mababa masyado ang menor. Na didiskarga.
Nasira yun old engine ko, dahil pumutok yun oil hose
Hope this helps.
at wait a little while, before shutdown makina,
bukod mag cool down yun turbo,
makakargahan pa kuryente yun battery.
Upgraded kasi headlight ko sa OSRAM 2x100Watts
na yellow ALL-Weather Bulb.

September 21st, 2010 10:18 PM #133Hi Guys,
Yung head unit walang aux-in for MP3. Tapos yung switch ng foglamps pagtinamaan ng tuhod tanggal (for its default location talagang tatamaan mo pagsakay mo sa driver's seat). Daling mapundi yung mga ilaw (in my case sa rear - breaklights in particular). Haaay, STILL the pros will override the cons, that's for sure!

Malakas talaga ang Gen 4 na Pajero... and the same goes for the Gen 3. Ang Gen 2.5 na 4x2, kaya rin mag 180+ as long as it's in tip-top shape. Sulit talaga ang Pajero!

some advice from the off-roaders please, i installed 31 inch mud tires on my 3-door 2.5 pajero,
now im planning to do a suspension lift: 1 inch rear, 1 1/2 front. to be honest, im doing the lift
for aesthetic purposes. i also know that it will raise the my center of gravity and maybe stiffen
the ride up front. so will there be any real advantage to the lift im planning? or maybe im
just wasting my time and money?
by the way, props to those who really play. display pa lang po ako e, but im really hoping to be able to
play soon.
thanks a lot and good day

sir JJCarEnthusiast,
yes sir, i have tested my pajero's FC several times, and i always get the same figures or something near it..
CT Driving: 10-11 km/ltr (light to moderate traffic)
Highway Driving: 12-13 km/ltr (minsan umabot pa nga ako ng 13.9km/ltr)
here are some test i made,
last may 2009, we went to baguio from cavite..
filled tank up, and reset trip meter..
travelled from carmona cavite to baguio city.
upon reaching baguio,
filled up again and it just ate up 30.05 ltrs of diesel at 335.6 kms trip meter reading..
thats an average of 11.2 kms/ltr..
pls take note that there are 9 persons onboard including me driving, plus baggages...and long uphill drive to baguio..
did again on our way back to cavite..
filled tank at baguio then reset trip meter
upon reaching carmona, cavite, filled again and only consumed 27 ltrs of diesel at 321.1 kms. means, 11.9 kms/ltr average
that includes very heavy traffic at edsa and slex that time
tested again on our way from cavite to iloilo tru the SRNH (roro route)
only consumed 36.2 ltrs of diesel at 464.2 kms distance travelled..
or 12.8 kms/ltr average..
kahit na old school diesel sya at malaki kaha,
ang tipid nga sir..bilib din ako..
Magaan lang po kc paa ko mag drive sir, i just followed the owner's manual
instruction regarding economical speed, ie, * 5th gear, it should run at 60-70 kph, or around 2000 rpm..i also accelarates slowly and shifts early, lyk at 1500rpm..also do the what they called hypermilling (if cituation permits)..also follows the recommended fluids change interval...
saka mas gusto ko po kc mag drive within that speed range, na-i enjoy ko kc view while talking to my wife and children..
pag mabilis na kc takbo, d na ako maka relax..i should be more vigilant na kaya i always stick to that speed and rpm range, and we always reached our destination safely, happily, and ... economicaly
and about the body color sir JJ, its galaxy blue, pero d ko lang alam exact colorcode..
btw, tnx for the compliment to my ride sir!!!
I really love my pajero..
bata pa kc ako sir, pangarap ko na magkaganyan..kaya sabi ko pag makapag work ako, pagiipunan ko talaga yan..
kaso nung makaipon nako, old model na sya...
pero as i've said before, kahit old model na sya, lumalaban parin sya sa hitsurat tindig compared to newer SUVs..
and i prefer the simplicity and reliability of an old school diesel,
compared to modern computer controlled diesel engines..
my pajero will be my baby forever...
here are some of my pajero's pictures sir..hope you'll like it..
more power sir JJ and to all tsikoteers...
God bless.

medyo magulo ang presyo ng jdm e. but it is a matter of condition. if it has a relatively good engine, as in walang tagas and unnatural sound, di kumakain ng langis; good body as in no major accident/masilya/repair and relatively intact interior, pwede na sa 350k.
jdm din kasi yung two pajero ko, the wagon was 400k 4 years ago and the 3 door was 365k almost a year ago. some people say mahal daw. siguro. pero until now, no major breakdowns, masisigla pa sila. ive seen too many jdm pajeros for 250-300k n makikinis pero sa labas lang. malata na engines, sira-sira pa interior. if kaya ng budget, d bale na medyo mahal basta good condition. just be sure to bring a knowlegeable mechanic or friend to appraise the car.
ito naman po e katwiran ko lang, maybe the other forumers have a different idea.
I do not have technical knowledge on cars. Since I am scouting for a new ride (I already have an...
