To choose between the two:
1. Get a 97-98 Paj (2.5) and do some mods/upgrades with it.
2. Get a Paj FM and leave it unmodifed.
Salamat mga bro.
(I was actually looking for a GU series patrol, but then with sound advice from guys here in tsikot/4x4ph it led me to consider getting the reliable Paj)

Yung FM ang Gen 2.5. Baka what you mean is a gen 2 vs an FM.
I would go for the FM since it is better looking and much newer. Mods lang na needed is a better drop-in air filter, an oil catch can and better horns and headlights. Maganda din LED na cabin lights.
Between a manual and an AT is your preference na lang siguro sir.

On FM Paj, commonly available is the 4x2 models, if i choose to convert it to 4x4. Is the conversion kit widely available, like the ones for the GU Patrols. And would conversion be easy to do? And how much, would it cost, if its readily available.

if important sayo 4x4 pili ka nalang early models.. i asked noon mahirap to impossible daw gawing 4x4 ang genfm na 4x2 pati transmission niya kasi.. walang saksakan sa harap.. unlike sa patrol
imho mas bago ang 2.5 so mas malaki chance mas sariwa
puros naka leather ang problema leather niya grey.. kaya nadudumihan agad
almost all matic.. meron daw manual pero di pako nakakakita
both madali imaintain
both imho ok sa consumption
