oo nga hehehe... if i had a boundless budget, i'd get a a new diesel patrol and have it converted to 4x4... (um, i find the safari a bit too ancient-feeling though)![]()

The 3rd gen pajero po kasi has gone soft IMHO. Independent rear suspension (vs. axle), Monocoque chassis with subframe (vs. Full Laddder), 33:67 torque split (vs. 50:50) etc, etc.
The GR patrol rocks! Biruin mo, new model pero engineered like old school SUVs! Indeed VIVA EL PATROL......
In a few years you can call me PATROLKID!!!!!
pero sabi nila mas malaki daw yung wheel travel ng bagong Pajero for all wheels compared to the gen2...
Sa aking LWB Paj local wala (not sure about late model pajeros, but i think wala din). If you really need locking diffs, meron naman air locker by arb..... mahal though :D Oh, and JDM SWB Pajeros also have a pioneering feature: height adjustment. Kaya lang sa auctioned, for some reason, tinatanggal nila. It allows the body to be adjusted by 30mm upwards to improve its angles (approach, ramp breakover, departure).
Hmmmm.... Patrol! :D Like i said, old school design... modern engineering :Dkung papiliin ka ng 1998 LC80 at new-model Patrol 3.0 alin kaya pipiliin mo?
nyahahahahahah!!!!!!!   matagal pa yun!patrolkid?? ehehee parang pulis yung dating

ewan ko lang pero sa akin patrol or LC80......kasi yung LC40 ng father in law buhay pa eh, kaya my vote will go to LC80, ayos ba tayo "jan"????

hello and welcome! :D I got my front angle mirror from Concorde in megamall for php1200. But a friend of mine got his in Concorde Southmall for php999. exact same model.... weird no? High quality po ito and very very functional. It allows you to view two blind spots at once!!! this is a ripoff of the Prado and LC100 mirrors  i saw some in Banawe... php950 ang bentahan but very poor quality... pangit yung mirrors and plastics. So be careful of what you buy
hope this helps :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

LC80 for me. kahit sa japan, maraming tao na nag trade-in ng mga Trooper at Pajero for LC70 or LC80 so they can go cross-country.
kung pure no compromise offroading.... id get an LC70 not an LC80  I think the LC80 is too big. my 2 centsLC80 for me. kahit sa japan, maraming tao na nag trade-in ng mga Trooper at Pajero for LC70 or LC80 so they can go cross-country.
pajerokid,
mbt:: nde naman round the clock  im using the company's LAN kaya it appears as if im permanently logged in
dude Trooper's ok
thanks PK!
cheers!

yup! lc70 nga ang mas hardcore, pero yung lc80 kasi parang good balance between usability and off-road ability.
kaya naman siguro in-production pa rin ang lc70, alongside the smaller lc90 and the luxurious lc100
Yung LC70 very usable din naman. Hindi nga lang ganoon kaporma like the LC80. Pero mas madali siya gamitin sa traffic because it's basically the same size as my Pajero.
Saka crash-tested ko na ang LC70 series. It passed with flying colors. No airbags, no crumple zones, no nothing. Kahit yata steering column nun hindi impact absorbing, eh. Pero hayop sa tigas ang frame.

otep,
haha i-submit mo na sa NHTSA at IIHS yung crash-test results and pics mo
yup, mukhang mahirap nga sa LC80 and patrol (new and old) yung width: 76 and 78 inches! yikes! hirap sumingit singit yan, lalo na sa mga side streets na sandamukal yung naka parada sa tabi :?
The LC70 has this allure about it.... its quite charming  This from a guy who still appreciates the FJ40 :lol::lol:
