IMO, it's really not necessary with newer engines. Only if you go for long drives at high rpm regularly.

maybe you can change the sensitivity.
Parang naka silent alarm mode lang. All other features still active, like the engine immoilizer, flashing lights when alarm is trigerred, doors open/close when ignition is off/on.

I prefer this mode in my other cars. However, sa ibang unit me option ka to program it this way. Sa MS hindi ko pa nadiscover ang silent alarm mode.

To all MS owners who find the blue light annoyingly bright specially at night, you can cut out a small round foam (the black one usually found in packaging boxes) and cover it (the blue light) with double side tape (cut a round hole just enough for bluelight to protrude). The brightness will be tempered but still visible.

    good day . . .

    My 2 cents...

Hi oliver1013, tell your bayaw to try AMCAR. Mitsubishi Dealer yan at Sta. Rosa , Laguna. Hope he can get it soonest. I was able to get my unit within 7 days (last Oct. 10, 2008). Kaya lang they informed me that the present local demand for the Montero Sport is more than 4,000 units and the plant can only dish out approximately 300 units per month.

the bluelight on mine turns off when I put in the key. Pa set mo nalng bro sa Dealer mo. The alarm on mine wasn't set up when I got it. I had them turn it on and they did some stuff on the alarm.

As I write this, GREEN HORNET is on his way to Diamond Motors Marikina to complain about an oil leak after PMS.

AFAIK this is his 2nd time to go back due to same complaint. Sana maayos na. Kundi lagot sila! Hehe.

I think its just something that needs to be tightened. You know how these people work..minsan talaga minamadali.

Not really sure of the details. Lets wait for GREEN HORNET to post.
