I'm not sure if I understand your question. Is the "1-din DVD player and a 1-din Monitor" separate? 1-din each?

I'm asking because I'm curious if you will still be able to use the multi-info display? Placing the monitor below the multi info display and replacing the stock HU with the other HU. My aunt might get an SE variant and planning to place a 2-din HU, if my question is possible, I might suggest that modification route also.

if you backread, you'll see the different options the members did with their head units.. but in your case, if you have a 1 din monitor head unit, there's no problem, take out your stock head unit and replace it with your 1 din monitor. There's no where there that you'd even need to touch the multi-info display..

Unless you have a 2 din monitor headunit.. for those who have the 4x2 then you have to change your center console to the 4x4 center console to house your 2din HU. In this case, you don't have a multi-info display to worry about. If you have the 4x4, then you'd just have to yank out the multi-info display and store it in a box and never look at it again! Now, you'll have a space to install your 2din HU. Back read to the post sometime oct-nov, you'll see pics.

Again, for those who have not backread, and this topic has at least come up twice already running a few pages.. the multi-info display, is the same size as a 2din HU.. the console underneath the display is part of whole assembly.. so there is no way you can put anything under the display.

NTYcE, yeah the SE here has wood paneling on the doors and shift knob area but the seats are grey leather. this "russian" is the same as our 3.2 4X4 GLS here minus the steering audio control, auto climate, rear cladding and foglamp.

in other words, its a mixed SE and GLS......

I'll add to this, aside from what NTYCE, mentioned on tinkering with your ecu. Installign a blow off valve is not as easy as 123. You have to change couple of pipes in the engine bay area where the turbine is located. Also im pretty sure why you want to install a blow off valve, maybe to achieve that "psssshhh" sound while speeding. No you cannot achive or there is no guarantee that you will achieve the blow off sound. Diesel engines are way different in characteristics than gas powered engines. This discussion is quite a long one and you may search it in google to get a better knowledge of it. Hope this helps sir.

No worries... Well its not naman hindi pwede. Possible kung possible, im just saying baka you wont get the effect you are expecting. Hope this helps sir. If we have time you can also pass by speedlab or other shops that offers turbo charging to get a better knowledge of that modification area.

sir rev D...you may want to consider JVC AVX77. It's a 1-din DVD receiver with 5.4 in monitor, bluetooth and wired mic, ipod/ iphone 2-way control compatible, motion sensor and you could put a custom wallpaper. when no display, it has a piano black finish, perfect aesthetics!

with this, you don't need to remove your MID, and just replace the stock hu with the above.

the single din hu with a pop-out monitor (2-din size)...sorry for those who have this set-up, but it does not look good since the monitor (when out) covers the aircon control knobs. and i believe, popping out the monitor is quite a hassle since it touches the shift knob (when on the park mode - not sure though, but correct me if i am wrong)

if you need extra monitor at the back, you may just want to install headrest monitors. The fidelity brand grey leatherette upholstery blends aok with your grey leather seats.

the bad news....avx77 is the newest single din dvd receiver with monitor from jvc which was just launched very recent. it's quite cheap in the US, online stores, but i was surprised when i called winterpine, they quoted me 56K!!! again, not sure if other would have a better price, maybe winterpine is quoting based on what casa would charge.

sir rev D....sorry but after posting this reply, i remember that your case is quite different from where i based my suggestion. i think you mentioned that you have old single din units. but anyway, this post may be interesting to some other members. sorry.

Oh, I see... I got confused. hehe Sir RevD said in his question that he has "1-din DVD player and a 1-din Monitor" and you replied to sir RevD "in your case" ... "There's no where there that you'd even need to touch the multi-info display." You were already talking about a different matter, which is a 1-din HU with a monitor. But yeah, I do remember reading that the multi-info display is one piece, plus, if you include the buttons, even if the assembly permits, the size might be a tad bigger than 1-din. I thought someone got around this problem and probably made a custom center console. Sayang din kasi yung multi-info, even for a small bit, it somehow adds to the look.

yup, its is very much possible.. on how to install it, that will be the problem.. last i heard the assembly will cost in the 60-70t area. but i cannot confirm.. i'm willing to sell my display, but all the wiring is in my car still and i'm not about to take off my dash to pull it all out because there's a lot and there are sensors as well.

Its not impossible, just very very hard, unless someone knows how to do it. i'm glad to sell mine.

from what i saw ah.. the seats are leather. there's cruise control also. and there's something on the front windshield that's suppose to be a rain sensor?(unconfirmed)... also the radio is different, it actually looks like it built in. What i just love about it is the black leather seats.

If you did understand that, then disregard what i just said. hehehe

sir your air filter part number is written on the edge of the filter.
if you want to know whether there is one that will fit on your monty you can try visiting their( k&n) website and using cross reference you will find the suitable kn filter that corresponds to the oem number.also the list of dealers/ installer were also there,indicate the country.HTH
