I don't know exactly the features and specs of this car model. Mine is a lancer 2000 mx. But, I just want to share some pointers when buying second hand cars based from my own experience.

Sir, magsama ka mekaniko mo when inspecting the car. Mas may alam sila where to check for possible leaks sa engine bay, lalo na dun sa mga gasket fittings sa top or under the crankase. Check din leaks sa brakes and power steering. Kapag may mapansin ka moist or some kind of sticky fluid anywhere sa makina, for sure there is something leaking. This may cost much kung major repair ang kailangan. When you look under the hood, kailangan kasi wala ka makikita ano man moist...kumbaga anywhere you look dapat tuyo at wala grasa of some sort.

Check also lahat gauges sa dashboard gumagana, at lahat ng electrical and electronic systems, including stereo, power windows/locks, wipers, and lights.

Other things to inspect:

1. Mileage (high mileage means gamit na gamit yung car...average is 10,000km per year ang tinatakbo ng kotse)
2. Tires
3. Suspension (dapat pag test drive mo, smooth ang ride...wala kalampag)
4. Body paint (tingnan mo kung may bubbles sa roof and bumpers, dents and heavy scratches)
5. Ask din yung mga maintenance and repair services records (timing belt replacement, servo replacement, etc.)
6. Condition inside the car (ingat sa amoy amag or molds sa loob, it means napabayaan or hindi nabigyan proper tlc yung car)

Don't be in a hurry when buying second hand cars. Kailangan maginspect mabuti para hindi magsisi...And, be ready rin for unexpected repairs and maintenance jobs. You can't expect too much from second hand cars. Expect mo na may papagawa ka after buying one.
