Subject: Re: Montero Sport 4x2 A/T Immobilizer?
Dear Darwin,
Thank you for your follow up query regarding the immobilizer system and please find below our reply to your concern.
1. What about for MS 4x2 A/T? does it have engine immobilizer?
Yes, the New Mitsubishi Montero Sports 4X2 AT is also equipped with immobilizer system.
2. Whats the purpose of the immobilizer?
The purpose of the immobilizer is to prevent the engine from starting the vehicle if a key other than the key which is registered for the vehicle is used after an attemp to start the vehicle after force entry.
Where it was installed and located?
The immobilizer is located and installed in the ignition key cylinder.
3. How it will function / its work?
The immobilizer works when the ignition key is turned ON. The registered ignition key transmits its own key ID via radio wave. Tthe immobilizer controls the vehicle starting sytem to function when the sent key ID agrees with the pre-registered one. Two ignition keys are provided, and up to eight keys can be registered to one vehicle as needed.
4. How to test the immobilizer on MS 4x2 A/T unit?
Vehicle with immobilizer system will not start using an unregistered key.
We hope that the above have adressed your concern and thank you very much for visiting our website.
Sincerely,

Sincerely,
HARRY B. ILAN

I had my 1000km PMS last week and it is only until now that I noticed that there is a note that I will be due for my next PMS when I reach 6055km. My odo reading when I had my PMS was 1055km.
Isn't your next PMS supposed to be at 5000km? From the note, it seems that my next PMS is at 5000km after the 1000km PMS (which is technically 6000km)?

congrats to ur 1T Kms PMS.
To avoid confusion on numbers (rounded off),,, we normally have it done the PMS on 1T, 5K, 10K, 15K, 20K KMS PMS.. ... note of 6055 kms,, kinda rounded off to 5T KMS PMS,, As you're using FS oil, u need only to change oil filter and 1 liter of FS oil top for your 5T KMS PMS and Car care kits. on 10T KMS PMS you need for full change oil / filter..

August 7th, 2009 06:51 AM #166hi guys specially to owners of Strda and MS,
just like to remind that every time you bring your lovely stuff in casa after PMS, dont let them wash your car because they wash it roughly , I mean , they clean it fast, it damage your top coat paint and create swirl marks from the wash mitt they are using. Just remind you, because the last PMS of our Pick up and after checking the body paint oh i noticed there are swirl marks from washing. We carlovers know the looks of our car, like me i keep on staring at our Pick up, so i just like to remind you to bring it to a good car wash center like big berts. Opps im not advertising the big berts ok, you may use fiber wash mitt to avoid scratches. This way we can maintain the beauty of our Lovely Stuff.

^^^ ARRRRRRRRRAY!
the act of doing the car wash should an act of courtesy of thanking the customer for having the car serviced at their casa... it did more harm than good! This is because of their focus of QUANTITY (carwash-in-a-rush) instead of QUALITY!
i suggest that a written complaint my be written to that Casa and the Plant. once the issue has been addressed, then we can take advantage of of a Quality Carwash again.Last edited by ianmitsulancer; August 7th, 2009 at 07:55 AM.
