sir playplug, yung mga diesel chips ay iisa lang function niyan, i alter nila yung voltage signal sa fuel rail pressure sensor para i-trick yung ecu na dagdagan yung fuel pressure o agahan ng delivery. may mga sensors kasi na nagdetermine during combustion kung anong time i-inject yung fuel at certain pressures at nakalink lahat yan sa sa fuel rail pressure sensor. so kapag may chip ka, lalakas ang power kasi i-signal ng chip sa ecu na kulang pa fuel pressure but in fact kung nasa stock ok na. so parang niloloko lang nung chip yung ecu to signal na kulang pa yung fuel pressure. again, may limit yung fuel pressure kada type ng makina, kapag sumobra sa set parameters ng ECU mag-register ng error o check engine light. so hindi ka dapat lalampas sa set parameters ng makina mo.
about ecu remap, they have a software that enable the tuner to change the preset parameters programmed inside the ECU. they are trained specialists and the exclusive and authorized shop to use the software kaya mahal din ang singil nila. you risk of voiding your warranty if in case magkaproblema ang makina at ma-trace ng casa na nasira yung part caused by the remapping. be reminded na ang casa once may masirang part na covered ng warranty, they will always find a way to blame the fault to you

both chipping ang remapping ay may risk na ma-void warranty mo. pero depende pa rin sa casa yan, ang dami ng naka chip wala pa naman ako nabalitaan na totally nasira at na void ang warranty. imo, sa remapping naman, as long as it is done professionally and within the limits ng sasakyan at walang problema, di na malalaman ng casa yan. during PMS di naman nila i-check yung ECU kung may binago ba sa parameters
